Chapter 72: I Feel It, Too

When we made it to the main house, all of the first round of wolves was there, plus the ones going with us on the trip to see the shaman. They were in the backyard when we came through the trees, but everyone stilled when they saw us. Jasper let me down gently, so I turned to address everyone. “Thank you all for being here to help with the construction of the cabins, even though I will not be here myself. Jake will be staying in his wolf form for the duration of the trip, so any of you wanting to know how we are, can see a phased wolf. There will always be at least one here and one on the rez.”
Seeing I still had their attention, I said, “We will be back as soon as possible, but please understand that I do not know how long the actual meeting with the shaman will take. We have much to discuss. Please be on your guard at all times, and try to limit the amount of times you are out of the protected areas. If any of the coming shifter tribes happen to arrive before we get back, remember to only give them the barest information. Do not tell them when we are expected back or how long we’ve been gone. If they get through the shield, they mean no harm, but I need to still test their intentions. Please be safe, and we will see you all soon.”
I walked to Carmen, Eleazar, Tanya, and Kate, cupping each of their cheeks briefly, “I will speak more with all of you after our return. Please stay in the protected area, and make sure at least two of the Cullens are with you when you hunt, so they can watch your backs. They shouldn't feel the need to feed for a while yet. Please be safe.”
Carmen cupped my cheek before saying in a slightly worried tone, “We are more concerned about you being outside of the protected zone. Please listen to your instincts, Diosa Dulce. Come back to us safely.”
Eleazar placed a hand gently on my shoulder, “Yes, Little Goddess. Please come back to us safely. I do not like the thought of you being out of a protected zone for an extended period of time. We must work on your travel shielding soon after your return.”
I nodded as Jake licked my palm. I looked at him down on his belly, then scratched behind his ear, “Is everything ready, Jake? Time to go?”
At his nod, I looked up to see my three mates standing a few feet away, all with a hand held out for me. I gave the Denali clan one last smile before I patted Jake's head, then we walked to my mates.
Ten minutes later, we were heading down the long drive. Jasper and I were snuggled up to Jake, Leah was sleeping with her head on Jake's front paw, while Peter and Char were in front. Once we were on the highway, Peter said, “Kitten, I don't think it's a good idea for ya to take the energy from the Denali kills anymore if ya want privacy... especially considerin' your reaction to feedin'.”
I nodded into Jake's side, “I know. I just don't relish the thought of taking the energy of a living creature if the blood or meat is not going to be consumed. I get queasy at the thought.”
Jake rumbled softly, but I couldn't tell what he was trying to say.
It's times like these when I wish Edward was here to translate.
“Jake I don't understand your rumble, Sweetie. You'll have to tell Edward when we're together again.”
Jake nodded his head the slightest bit, then I settled further into both him and Jasper. It was only about an hour later that Jasper started nuzzling my breasts. I smiled softly as I ran my fingers through his hair, “Yes, My Love. It's time.”
I felt his breath wash over me as he whispered against my skin, “I feel the need to be greedy this time, Darlin'. You don't mind, do you?”
I twined my fingers in his hair, tugged lightly so he would look at me, then brushed my thumb over his lips as I whispered, “I know, Baby. I know we haven't had much alone time lately, and I miss it, too. I promise we'll spend some time, just you and me, soon. As for being greedy, you need to listen to what you feel, too.”
He nodded, kissing down the open portion of my top as he reached for the buckle above my breasts. As soon as he got the buckle undone, he pulled me into his lap. He slowly brushed his fingers over my skin as he moved the top to cradle under my breasts, then ghosted just the tips over the swell of each as he whispered, “So beautiful, My Goddess.”
He lifted me gently by my hips, then placed a hand lovingly between them as he licked just the line of my love bite. My breath hitched, then he flattened his tongue against it with just the barest pressure. My fingers tightened into his golden locks in response as I whispered, “Please, Jazz.”
He kissed all over my breast reverently before licking the love bite once more and latching on.
As he fed, he kept eye contact with me the whole time; one hand caressing my baby bump, the other caressing the breast he wasn't feeding from. It was very intimate. I knew we needed this time, even though it wasn't actually private. I think everyone else knew too, because the Suburban was silent the whole time, and there seemed to be no world outside of me and my Jasper. Our emotions swirled between the two of us. Even though there was always desire and need in both of our feelings, the most dominant emotion today was love... an immeasurable amount of pure love.
When he was done feeding, neither of us felt the need to leave our bubble right away, so he kissed up and down the valley between my breasts as his free hand went to trace my elements. His other hand never left my tummy, but started swirling the same pattern he was tracing on my back.
An intensely serene feeling settled in me at the action. He looked intently at me for a second, then stopped tracing my stomach. The serene feeling started fading, so he smiled softly as he started tracing it again.
I guess my goddess is telling me something.
Jasper must have felt my acknowledgment, because he nodded minutely as he placed a kiss over my heart.
We ended up staying in that position in our own little world until I felt a tingle in my breasts again. Jasper moaned into my neck, “I should let them have some time with you, now, Darlin'. They've been so patient since I stopped letting them feel you, but I can tell they miss you, and miss feeling your feelings. I just... I needed it to be just us for a bit.”
I nodded, breathing against his lips, “I know, My Love. I did, too. I promise we'll spend more time, just us. We'll make the time, no matter what.”
He nodded and kissed me lovingly for several minutes, until I felt the tingle again.
With one more kiss to each nipple, he gently laid me back against Jake's side as I heard Peter and Char both sigh in relief.
Jasper must have opened our feelings back up to them. They really must dislike not feeling me, now that they've grown used to feeling my emotions 24/7.
Jasper made his way up to Peter at the driver seat before I saw them switch places at vampire speed. Peter and Char both took a second to kiss Jasper, then made their way back to me as I stroked Jake's fur. He stayed silent, but turned his head enough to lick my ankle before laying back in his original position. I smiled, whispering, “Love you, too, Jake.”
Peter and Char nuzzled in on either side of me. Soon they were both settled into feeding, with one hand tracing my elements, the other resting gently on my tummy.
No sooner did I start feeling hungry, soon after Peter and Char finished feeding, did Jake's stomach rumble. He shifted his large wolf head to look at me. I nodded, “It's because of me, isn't it? That's what you were trying to tell me earlier?”
Jake nodded, so Jasper said from the driver seat, “I need to know when it's safe to stop for the two of you to feed, Darlin'.”
I took a breath, closing my eyes, then Peter and I both blurted out at the same time, “Next exit, get off and go right. Large forest 10 miles off the main road.”
Jasper chuckled, then nodded and took the next exit. I immediately made sure that the rest of our group took the exit too, through the back window. “Char, call Alice and make sure everyone stays put until I can scan the area to make sure it's clear.”
She pressed the button on her phone as Peter directed Jasper where to go. As soon as we were parked, I closed my eyes, then let my senses range out.
Shit, there's so much to take in.
As soon as I recognised the energies of our group, I slowly let my senses range further out. There were several large elk, two groups of deer, and many small animals in a 5 mile radius, but no humans, other vampires or shifters... or carnivores.
Brussel sprouts it is, I guess. Damn.
I reopened my eyes, saying that we had a five mile perimeter of safety checked. Jake whined, nudging Leah gently with his free paw. She looked up with sleepy eyes, so I smiled, “Jake's going to hunt with me. I'm starting to get hungry.”
She nodded and yawned through saying, “Me, too. I haven't hunted in wolf form in a while, but it gives us more energy with less cravings. Is there enough around for me to share?”
I smiled, “There are several elk and two large groups of deer in a five mile radius. I don't want anyone outside of that. The thought makes me antsy.”
She nodded seriously, then said, “Two deer will settle me for a good while.”
Char and Peter both stepped out of the truck, then Jasper came around to me from the driver seat to help me re-situate my top. As he kissed me, I could feel all the love, desire and need he felt. I nodded when the kiss broke, feeling exactly the same way.
We all gathered in one group when we got out of the Suburban. Edward said right away, “Jake says that the two of you are fully in synch now. When you feel something that he can provide for you, he automatically feels the need to fulfill it. He'd rather you take the energy from his and the other pack members' kills, than from the Delani or anyone else. It feels more natural for him in this state, and he says he thinks the rest of the pack should hunt in wolf form until we get back. He wants the pack to be at their peak for this meeting. Leah is right about the energy level.”
Jake was laying down next to me, so I rubbed his head while asking, “Jake, are you sure you want to give up regular food?”
Jake's large brown eyes looked at me, then he nodded slowly as Edward said, “He doesn't want for human food any more. Since you woke from turning, he hasn't once wanted anything relating to human food. He wants to do this for you, Sweetheart. I can see how natural this is for him.”
I nodded as Edward looked to the other pack members, saying, “Jake would like all of you to hunt. He feels like you need to be at your peak for the meeting. He says to go transform and bring your clothes back here to the SUV.”
Jake barked with a nod, then the rest of the pack dashed to different points around us in the trees to phase.
Edward hugged me to him as he kissed my temple, “Jake wants the three biggest elk. He asked if that would be enough energy for you.”
I shrugged, “I don't know. I think so, but I may need more.”
Jake nodded, then Leah touched her nose to my leg while laying down next to Jake. “Leah's going to stay with you and Jake while you take the energy from his kills, so that if you need more, you can take from hers.”
I nodded, then brushed my fingers across Leah's cheek, “Thanks, Leah.”
The rest of the pack was ready to go, so I pointed Jake in the direction of the elk.
We all dashed off, but soon we were slowing down near our prey. Watching Jake hunt was a beautiful experience. He was graceful in his kills, quickly downing the two largest elk by the throat, laying them in front of me before going back for the third. Paul and Embry ended up taking down the two smaller elk as I dug the fingers of each hand into the two in front of me.
Part way through drawing the energy from my elk, I felt two large bursts of energy come to me from the earth. I realised that it was the energy from Paul and Embry's kills. I mentally kissed the earth in acknowledgment, then crawled to the third elk Jake was dropping near me. I nodded to him, then instantly dug my fingers into the third elk.
After finishing it, I turned to Leah and Seth, who were waiting quietly. I panted, “Can you bring the deer here to feed?”
They both nodded, so I pointed, “Two large groups. One that way about a mile out, and one that way at the same distance. Try to take down large males if possible, but don't kill them fully. Alice and Edward will go with you, so that they can carry back your second kill for you. Once you are here, I'll draw the energy from the first two, while you feed on the second two. I automatically got the energy from Paul and Embry's kills while feeding from Jake's, so it should work the same way with the deer. Just don't start to feed until I'm already taking the energy of the first set.”
They nodded seriously, then both dashed off with Alice and Edward.
They were back in almost no time, with Leah and Seth both laying their kills down in front of me. I nodded to them, then instantly dug in while Alice and Edward were laying the last two down for them a few feet away. I wasn't even halfway through with the two deer, when I felt two more bursts of energy.
When I was done, I dragged the two deer over to lay them in front of Leah and Seth, then kissed the tops of their wolf heads, “Thank you both. You did wonderfully.”
I looked at Jasper, and I could see him looking at my bloody fingers. He was in front of me in a split second, laying me down in a grassy patch several feet away, licking my fingers as he settled between my spread thighs. We were still in sight of everyone, but I quickly noted that the rest of the vampires had paired off with their mates, spread around the small clearing we were in.
I focused my attention on Jasper, whispering as he licked the blood from my fingers, “I need you, Cowboy. Make love to me, please.”
He nodded as he finished cleaning my fingers, then crawled down the length of my body to my tummy, kissing it before sitting me up carefully.
Jasper pulled me into the most intense slow and need-filled kiss while his hands worked my top up my body, breaking the kiss only long enough to remove it completely. I moaned as our tongues entwined again. He guided me to lay back in the grass before moving his kisses down my jaw.
He teasingly swirled his tongue on Peter and Char's turning marks on either side of my neck, then kissed his way down my breasts. My fingers wove into his hair, making him moan into my nipple as he flicked his tongue against my love bite. I arched into him with a whimper. He repeated the process on the other nipple, making me moan, “God, I've missed you. Touch me... please, My Love.”
Jasper hummed softly, “I know, Darlin'. I feel it, too. Let me worship you... show you how much I truly need you. Just feel how much I missed this with you.”
Jasper's hands caressed every inch of my naked skin as he kissed, licked and nipped down my body. When he reached my tummy, he placed his hands on it gently. He whispered, “Daddy loves you both so much,” then kissed it twice.
I ran my fingers through his golden locks as he undid the buttons on my jeans, curled his fingers into the waistband, then eased both them and my panties down. When he reached my boots, he took the same care removing them and my socks, before removing my clothes the rest of the way.
He stood to shed his clothes quickly, then kissed his way slowly back up to my inner thighs, which were now showing evidence of my need for him. He lapped up every trace of my arousal teasingly, driving my need for him higher when he licked his turning marks, then whimpered against my folds between gentle laps, “God, I need ya so much, Darlin'. I ache to feel ya wrapped around me again. Tell me ya feel it. Tell me ya know how much I need ya... how I can't live without ya. Please tell me ya can feel how much I love ya.”
I moaned as tightened my fingers in his hair, “I always feel it, My Love... always. With every look and touch, I feel your love for me. Please, Jasper. I need you just as much. I need to feel your arms holding me tight as we make love. I need to feel all of you.”
Suddenly my arms and legs were wrapped around him, he was sitting with me in his lap, and his face was buried in my neck as he moaned, “Oh, God, yes. I need that, too, My Goddess... need to feel all of you wrapped tightly around me.”
He positioned as I slid up, then wrapped one hand in my hair as he cradled the other against my tailbone. I slid down onto him slowly; we both moaned long and low at the feeling. He brought our chests flush together, our noses millimeters from touching. His eyes connected with mine as we breathed each other in deeply.
As we began rocking into each other, Jasper kept tracing my elements with one hand, while his other caressed me anywhere it could reach. One of mine was locked into his golden curls, holding his face to mine, as the other re-memorized his glorious body. Our words were nothing more than our kisses, sighs, and moans... but they spoke volumes louder than actual words ever could. Every kiss was filled with need and desire, every sigh or moan was filled with the completion we felt at our being fully connected like this again.
We were lost in our own little world again. There was nothing outside of us, our connection, and our feelings flowing to each other. I couldn't tell you how many times each of us came, or how long we had been making love. All I knew was that when we both came together the final time, all felt right in the world.
We sat there tightly wrapped in each others' arms for several minutes, just being, before I felt the need to know Jake and the others were okay. Instantly, Jake was belly crawling to me from the side. He licked my palm a few times with sparkling eyes before he laid his head down near my knee. I whispered against Jasper's chest, “Are the others safe? Are they alright?”
He barked a laugh, nodded, then laid his head back down, so I knew everyone was okay.
Just then, my breasts ached something fierce. Jasper whispered as he looked at his watch, “You're overdue, Darlin'. Are we safe to let someone feed here, or would you rather get on the road again first?”
I shook my head, “I need to gather from the earth, then I want us back on the road. We've been out in the open too long as it is. I don't want to be in the open any more right now.”
Jake nodded his agreement, so Jasper called our group closer. I thanked him silently, then looked to Peter and Char. They each kissed me lightly while stroking my cheek. I knew they understood that I needed that time with my Jasper.
When I looked to Edward and Alice, I said, “I'd like the two of you to feed next, but I want to get back on the road first.”
Edward nodded, then looked to Jake and Leah, saying, “Leah has offered to take our place in the other Suburban. Jake says that's fine for now. He didn't feel anything unsettling when Leah offered, but he wants your opinion.”
I took a deep breath and settled myself, then nodded as I reopened my eyes, “Yes, that's fine. Thank you for offering, Leah. Peter, how long before we reach the shaman?”
Peter chuckled slightly, then said, “We should be there just in time to let someone feed again, then get you changed into your special outfit, Sug.”
I nodded, “Good. You, Char, and Jazz all need to take the last feeding. Let me draw from the earth, then we'll get ready to go. I don't want to be out in the open anymore.”
They all backed off a bit, so I slowly moved into my lotus position while still connected to Jasper.
Once I topped off my energy and was full to the bursting point, I kissed Jasper softly, “Time to go, My Love.”
He tenderly traced my cheek with a smile, “I love it when you call me that, Darlin'. Let's get you dressed again, situated against Jake in the SUV, then Edward and Alice can take away the ache.”
I nodded, then after a love-filled kiss, we both stood and dressed quickly. We were back to the Suburbans in no time. The wolves all grabbed their clothes to phase back in the trees. Jake hurried to settle down, then gave me his serious eyes that said 'Now, Woman!'
I knew he must have been sensing my serious need for pressure release, so I chuckled pitifully as I climbed in to settle against his ribs, “I know, Jake. It won't kill me, it's just uncomfortable when they're so full is all. Just as soon as Ali and Edward start feeding, the ache will go away.”
As if on cue, both Alice and Edward settled against me on either side. Alice took care of getting my top out of the way. We weren't even out on the main highway again, before I was sighing in relief as they drew deeply.
When they were done feeding, Edward whispered into my neck, “Why don't you strip back down, let Jasper hold you, and I'll work on your massage. It wouldn't hurt for you to have one before we meet the shaman.”
I nodded, feeling that he was right. I asked Jasper as I stripped down, “Can you dose me when I get settled please? I should meditate while Edward works on me.”
He smiled and nodded, “Of course, Darlin'. Come here and get comfy, then we'll get you dosed.”
He pulled me down into his lap after he turned to settle in my old place against Jake's ribs. I settled on his lap with my feet near his knees. I rested my nose against his neck, then placed one hand on Jake and the other on Jasper's element. It was instinctual, but I heard both Jake and Jasper let out a small rumble of happiness.
I heard Edward ask about which oil as I started to close my eyes, so I said, “The one for Jasper, please.”
As soon as I felt oil being dripped onto my elements, Jasper sent a blanket of love, peace and lethargy.
My inner goddess was waiting for me as soon as I was centered, with a small smile gracing her lips. I nodded, “Good day, Goddess.”
She responded in kind as I mirrored her position on the floor. “My Goddess, today is an important day. You will be meeting the shaman soon, and all must go according to plan. The shaman will test The Protector. You know this. There will be another near the field with the shaman, but I know they mean no harm. It is part of the test. Your protector must not leave your side for an instant, but he also must not let the other near the field think he's weak. Set it up so that the wolves surround the clearing, that your vampires are interspersed with them. You, your mate, and your protector should be front and center, in the middle. Do not let the other onto the field, but do not let anyone attack him.”
She gave me a serious look, then continued, “Warn the shaman when the other makes himself known, that if the other makes a move toward you or your group, you will give Jake the order in a heartbeat. It will be tense for a few minutes, and this is your protector's test. He must not call the order, and you must not give the signal. The other will not come closer, but will round the perimeter of the small clearing, keeping the same distance. When he reaches his starting point, the shaman will tell him to shift and join you on the clearing. The pack and your group must not automatically let him on the field. They must wait for your signal. You must let your senses guide you as to when he should be let on. Only when you give the signal, should they let him on the field.”
I nodded in understanding, “It's the leader to one of the other shifter packs, isn't it? The shaman is testing to see if Jake is truly synched with me... if he should truly have his protector status at my side.”
My inner goddess nodded seriously, so I asked, “When we get through the testing, will the shaman be able to help us, truly?”
Again, she nodded seriously, causing me to let out a breath in relief. Any help the shaman could give us would be beneficial. “I'll make it clear, plan it out, and tell the group before we head into the field. There's no way in hell he's going to try to put another shifter in Jake's place at my side. Jake and I are in synch. I know he can do this. I know we all can.”
She smiled at me, then said, “Just the thing you needed to hear yourself say, My Goddess. You must believe in yourself, as well as your group, if you are to succeed. You are all tightly knit, so you must trust in that.”
I nodded, then heard her whisper as she faded from my sight, “Blessed be, My Goddess.” I responded in kind, just as she faded to nothing.
The rest of my meditation was quiet. Soon I felt it was time to pull out of my meditation state. I hummed in pleasure as I came back to myself, feeling Edward's magic fingers working on my skin. He chuckled slightly, causing Jasper to whisper into my shoulder, “How are you feeling, Darlin'?”
I nodded, then my breath hitched as I felt Edward's fingers ghost up my elements tenderly. They both kissed my shoulders as I said, “I feel really good, but as soon as we stop and are all together, we have a lot to go over about the meeting. Jake, this is important, so you may have to lay down the law with the pack. I know they'll get protective, but we can't have any of them jumping the gun in that field. I mean it.”
Edward stroked my back as I tensed at the thought of Jake not being at my side, then said softly, “Jake says he feels like something important is going to happen at the meeting... that the shaman is going to piss him off before the important thing happens.”
I nodded, “Yes, he's going to piss all of you off, but you must not make any type of movement without my order... any of you. How long before we get there? I want to tell everyone together what has to happen.”
Char called from the driver seat, “About ten minutes, Sweetness. If you want, you can let Jasper feed first. Peter and I will feed when he's done. You can fill everyone in while we feed, then Ali and I can help you get ready.”
I nodded, then whispered, “Edward, I'm going to shift up a bit so it's easier for Jasper to feed, but will you still continue my massage, please?”
He hummed, kissing my shoulder, “Of course, Sweetheart. Anything for you. You just let me know when you're ready.”
Once I was settled in the new position, I nodded to them both. It was like they synched their movements. Jasper twirled his tongue on my love bite, just as Edward slid his thumbs up either side of my spine along my elements, making me moan loudly in the small space. They both chuckled, but Jasper latched on after another teasing lick. He moaned as he drew, then Edward said, “Huh... well that's definitely interesting. We'll have to see if it continues next time.”
Jasper hummed with a nod, so Edward explained softly in my ear as I ran my fingers through Jasper's hair, “He says you taste sweeter right now. He thinks it might be because of the massage, but isn't sure. It could have something to do with the meeting and levels, but we can't be sure until we try again, Sweetheart.”
I nodded, then he brushed his lips along my shoulder, “You smell sweeter, too. So delectable, Sweetheart.”
He slid his hands back down and around my hips as I hummed in agreement. Edward continued his massage as Jasper fed. We were parked near the clearing not long after.

I felt his breath wash over me as he whispered against my skin, “I feel the need to be greedy this time, Darlin'. You don't mind, do you?”
I twined my fingers in his hair, tugged lightly so he would look at me, then brushed my thumb over his lips as I whispered, “I know, Baby. I know we haven't had much alone time lately, and I miss it, too. I promise we'll spend some time, just you and me, soon. As for being greedy, you need to listen to what you feel, too.”
He nodded, kissing down the open portion of my top as he reached for the buckle above my breasts. As soon as he got the buckle undone, he pulled me into his lap. He slowly brushed his fingers over my skin as he moved the top to cradle under my breasts, then ghosted just the tips over the swell of each as he whispered, “So beautiful, My Goddess.”
He lifted me gently by my hips, then placed a hand lovingly between them as he licked just the line of my love bite. My breath hitched, then he flattened his tongue against it with just the barest pressure. My fingers tightened into his golden locks in response as I whispered, “Please, Jazz.”
He kissed all over my breast reverently before licking the love bite once more and latching on.
As he fed, he kept eye contact with me the whole time; one hand caressing my baby bump, the other caressing the breast he wasn't feeding from. It was very intimate. I knew we needed this time, even though it wasn't actually private. I think everyone else knew too, because the Suburban was silent the whole time, and there seemed to be no world outside of me and my Jasper. Our emotions swirled between the two of us. Even though there was always desire and need in both of our feelings, the most dominant emotion today was love... an immeasurable amount of pure love.
When he was done feeding, neither of us felt the need to leave our bubble right away, so he kissed up and down the valley between my breasts as his free hand went to trace my elements. His other hand never left my tummy, but started swirling the same pattern he was tracing on my back.
An intensely serene feeling settled in me at the action. He looked intently at me for a second, then stopped tracing my stomach. The serene feeling started fading, so he smiled softly as he started tracing it again.
I guess my goddess is telling me something.
Jasper must have felt my acknowledgment, because he nodded minutely as he placed a kiss over my heart.
We ended up staying in that position in our own little world until I felt a tingle in my breasts again. Jasper moaned into my neck, “I should let them have some time with you, now, Darlin'. They've been so patient since I stopped letting them feel you, but I can tell they miss you, and miss feeling your feelings. I just... I needed it to be just us for a bit.”
I nodded, breathing against his lips, “I know, My Love. I did, too. I promise we'll spend more time, just us. We'll make the time, no matter what.”
He nodded and kissed me lovingly for several minutes, until I felt the tingle again.
With one more kiss to each nipple, he gently laid me back against Jake's side as I heard Peter and Char both sigh in relief.
Jasper must have opened our feelings back up to them. They really must dislike not feeling me, now that they've grown used to feeling my emotions 24/7.
Jasper made his way up to Peter at the driver seat before I saw them switch places at vampire speed. Peter and Char both took a second to kiss Jasper, then made their way back to me as I stroked Jake's fur. He stayed silent, but turned his head enough to lick my ankle before laying back in his original position. I smiled, whispering, “Love you, too, Jake.”
Peter and Char nuzzled in on either side of me. Soon they were both settled into feeding, with one hand tracing my elements, the other resting gently on my tummy.
No sooner did I start feeling hungry, soon after Peter and Char finished feeding, did Jake's stomach rumble. He shifted his large wolf head to look at me. I nodded, “It's because of me, isn't it? That's what you were trying to tell me earlier?”
Jake nodded, so Jasper said from the driver seat, “I need to know when it's safe to stop for the two of you to feed, Darlin'.”
I took a breath, closing my eyes, then Peter and I both blurted out at the same time, “Next exit, get off and go right. Large forest 10 miles off the main road.”
Jasper chuckled, then nodded and took the next exit. I immediately made sure that the rest of our group took the exit too, through the back window. “Char, call Alice and make sure everyone stays put until I can scan the area to make sure it's clear.”
She pressed the button on her phone as Peter directed Jasper where to go. As soon as we were parked, I closed my eyes, then let my senses range out.
Shit, there's so much to take in.
As soon as I recognised the energies of our group, I slowly let my senses range further out. There were several large elk, two groups of deer, and many small animals in a 5 mile radius, but no humans, other vampires or shifters... or carnivores.
Brussel sprouts it is, I guess. Damn.
I reopened my eyes, saying that we had a five mile perimeter of safety checked. Jake whined, nudging Leah gently with his free paw. She looked up with sleepy eyes, so I smiled, “Jake's going to hunt with me. I'm starting to get hungry.”
She nodded and yawned through saying, “Me, too. I haven't hunted in wolf form in a while, but it gives us more energy with less cravings. Is there enough around for me to share?”
I smiled, “There are several elk and two large groups of deer in a five mile radius. I don't want anyone outside of that. The thought makes me antsy.”
She nodded seriously, then said, “Two deer will settle me for a good while.”
Char and Peter both stepped out of the truck, then Jasper came around to me from the driver seat to help me re-situate my top. As he kissed me, I could feel all the love, desire and need he felt. I nodded when the kiss broke, feeling exactly the same way.
We all gathered in one group when we got out of the Suburban. Edward said right away, “Jake says that the two of you are fully in synch now. When you feel something that he can provide for you, he automatically feels the need to fulfill it. He'd rather you take the energy from his and the other pack members' kills, than from the Delani or anyone else. It feels more natural for him in this state, and he says he thinks the rest of the pack should hunt in wolf form until we get back. He wants the pack to be at their peak for this meeting. Leah is right about the energy level.”
Jake was laying down next to me, so I rubbed his head while asking, “Jake, are you sure you want to give up regular food?”
Jake's large brown eyes looked at me, then he nodded slowly as Edward said, “He doesn't want for human food any more. Since you woke from turning, he hasn't once wanted anything relating to human food. He wants to do this for you, Sweetheart. I can see how natural this is for him.”
I nodded as Edward looked to the other pack members, saying, “Jake would like all of you to hunt. He feels like you need to be at your peak for the meeting. He says to go transform and bring your clothes back here to the SUV.”
Jake barked with a nod, then the rest of the pack dashed to different points around us in the trees to phase.
Edward hugged me to him as he kissed my temple, “Jake wants the three biggest elk. He asked if that would be enough energy for you.”
I shrugged, “I don't know. I think so, but I may need more.”
Jake nodded, then Leah touched her nose to my leg while laying down next to Jake. “Leah's going to stay with you and Jake while you take the energy from his kills, so that if you need more, you can take from hers.”
I nodded, then brushed my fingers across Leah's cheek, “Thanks, Leah.”
The rest of the pack was ready to go, so I pointed Jake in the direction of the elk.
We all dashed off, but soon we were slowing down near our prey. Watching Jake hunt was a beautiful experience. He was graceful in his kills, quickly downing the two largest elk by the throat, laying them in front of me before going back for the third. Paul and Embry ended up taking down the two smaller elk as I dug the fingers of each hand into the two in front of me.
Part way through drawing the energy from my elk, I felt two large bursts of energy come to me from the earth. I realised that it was the energy from Paul and Embry's kills. I mentally kissed the earth in acknowledgment, then crawled to the third elk Jake was dropping near me. I nodded to him, then instantly dug my fingers into the third elk.
After finishing it, I turned to Leah and Seth, who were waiting quietly. I panted, “Can you bring the deer here to feed?”
They both nodded, so I pointed, “Two large groups. One that way about a mile out, and one that way at the same distance. Try to take down large males if possible, but don't kill them fully. Alice and Edward will go with you, so that they can carry back your second kill for you. Once you are here, I'll draw the energy from the first two, while you feed on the second two. I automatically got the energy from Paul and Embry's kills while feeding from Jake's, so it should work the same way with the deer. Just don't start to feed until I'm already taking the energy of the first set.”
They nodded seriously, then both dashed off with Alice and Edward.
They were back in almost no time, with Leah and Seth both laying their kills down in front of me. I nodded to them, then instantly dug in while Alice and Edward were laying the last two down for them a few feet away. I wasn't even halfway through with the two deer, when I felt two more bursts of energy.
When I was done, I dragged the two deer over to lay them in front of Leah and Seth, then kissed the tops of their wolf heads, “Thank you both. You did wonderfully.”
I looked at Jasper, and I could see him looking at my bloody fingers. He was in front of me in a split second, laying me down in a grassy patch several feet away, licking my fingers as he settled between my spread thighs. We were still in sight of everyone, but I quickly noted that the rest of the vampires had paired off with their mates, spread around the small clearing we were in.
I focused my attention on Jasper, whispering as he licked the blood from my fingers, “I need you, Cowboy. Make love to me, please.”
He nodded as he finished cleaning my fingers, then crawled down the length of my body to my tummy, kissing it before sitting me up carefully.
Jasper pulled me into the most intense slow and need-filled kiss while his hands worked my top up my body, breaking the kiss only long enough to remove it completely. I moaned as our tongues entwined again. He guided me to lay back in the grass before moving his kisses down my jaw.
He teasingly swirled his tongue on Peter and Char's turning marks on either side of my neck, then kissed his way down my breasts. My fingers wove into his hair, making him moan into my nipple as he flicked his tongue against my love bite. I arched into him with a whimper. He repeated the process on the other nipple, making me moan, “God, I've missed you. Touch me... please, My Love.”
Jasper hummed softly, “I know, Darlin'. I feel it, too. Let me worship you... show you how much I truly need you. Just feel how much I missed this with you.”
Jasper's hands caressed every inch of my naked skin as he kissed, licked and nipped down my body. When he reached my tummy, he placed his hands on it gently. He whispered, “Daddy loves you both so much,” then kissed it twice.
I ran my fingers through his golden locks as he undid the buttons on my jeans, curled his fingers into the waistband, then eased both them and my panties down. When he reached my boots, he took the same care removing them and my socks, before removing my clothes the rest of the way.
He stood to shed his clothes quickly, then kissed his way slowly back up to my inner thighs, which were now showing evidence of my need for him. He lapped up every trace of my arousal teasingly, driving my need for him higher when he licked his turning marks, then whimpered against my folds between gentle laps, “God, I need ya so much, Darlin'. I ache to feel ya wrapped around me again. Tell me ya feel it. Tell me ya know how much I need ya... how I can't live without ya. Please tell me ya can feel how much I love ya.”
I moaned as tightened my fingers in his hair, “I always feel it, My Love... always. With every look and touch, I feel your love for me. Please, Jasper. I need you just as much. I need to feel your arms holding me tight as we make love. I need to feel all of you.”
Suddenly my arms and legs were wrapped around him, he was sitting with me in his lap, and his face was buried in my neck as he moaned, “Oh, God, yes. I need that, too, My Goddess... need to feel all of you wrapped tightly around me.”
He positioned as I slid up, then wrapped one hand in my hair as he cradled the other against my tailbone. I slid down onto him slowly; we both moaned long and low at the feeling. He brought our chests flush together, our noses millimeters from touching. His eyes connected with mine as we breathed each other in deeply.
As we began rocking into each other, Jasper kept tracing my elements with one hand, while his other caressed me anywhere it could reach. One of mine was locked into his golden curls, holding his face to mine, as the other re-memorized his glorious body. Our words were nothing more than our kisses, sighs, and moans... but they spoke volumes louder than actual words ever could. Every kiss was filled with need and desire, every sigh or moan was filled with the completion we felt at our being fully connected like this again.
We were lost in our own little world again. There was nothing outside of us, our connection, and our feelings flowing to each other. I couldn't tell you how many times each of us came, or how long we had been making love. All I knew was that when we both came together the final time, all felt right in the world.
We sat there tightly wrapped in each others' arms for several minutes, just being, before I felt the need to know Jake and the others were okay. Instantly, Jake was belly crawling to me from the side. He licked my palm a few times with sparkling eyes before he laid his head down near my knee. I whispered against Jasper's chest, “Are the others safe? Are they alright?”
He barked a laugh, nodded, then laid his head back down, so I knew everyone was okay.
Just then, my breasts ached something fierce. Jasper whispered as he looked at his watch, “You're overdue, Darlin'. Are we safe to let someone feed here, or would you rather get on the road again first?”
I shook my head, “I need to gather from the earth, then I want us back on the road. We've been out in the open too long as it is. I don't want to be in the open any more right now.”
Jake nodded his agreement, so Jasper called our group closer. I thanked him silently, then looked to Peter and Char. They each kissed me lightly while stroking my cheek. I knew they understood that I needed that time with my Jasper.
When I looked to Edward and Alice, I said, “I'd like the two of you to feed next, but I want to get back on the road first.”
Edward nodded, then looked to Jake and Leah, saying, “Leah has offered to take our place in the other Suburban. Jake says that's fine for now. He didn't feel anything unsettling when Leah offered, but he wants your opinion.”
I took a deep breath and settled myself, then nodded as I reopened my eyes, “Yes, that's fine. Thank you for offering, Leah. Peter, how long before we reach the shaman?”
Peter chuckled slightly, then said, “We should be there just in time to let someone feed again, then get you changed into your special outfit, Sug.”
I nodded, “Good. You, Char, and Jazz all need to take the last feeding. Let me draw from the earth, then we'll get ready to go. I don't want to be out in the open anymore.”
They all backed off a bit, so I slowly moved into my lotus position while still connected to Jasper.
Once I topped off my energy and was full to the bursting point, I kissed Jasper softly, “Time to go, My Love.”
He tenderly traced my cheek with a smile, “I love it when you call me that, Darlin'. Let's get you dressed again, situated against Jake in the SUV, then Edward and Alice can take away the ache.”
I nodded, then after a love-filled kiss, we both stood and dressed quickly. We were back to the Suburbans in no time. The wolves all grabbed their clothes to phase back in the trees. Jake hurried to settle down, then gave me his serious eyes that said 'Now, Woman!'
I knew he must have been sensing my serious need for pressure release, so I chuckled pitifully as I climbed in to settle against his ribs, “I know, Jake. It won't kill me, it's just uncomfortable when they're so full is all. Just as soon as Ali and Edward start feeding, the ache will go away.”
As if on cue, both Alice and Edward settled against me on either side. Alice took care of getting my top out of the way. We weren't even out on the main highway again, before I was sighing in relief as they drew deeply.
When they were done feeding, Edward whispered into my neck, “Why don't you strip back down, let Jasper hold you, and I'll work on your massage. It wouldn't hurt for you to have one before we meet the shaman.”
I nodded, feeling that he was right. I asked Jasper as I stripped down, “Can you dose me when I get settled please? I should meditate while Edward works on me.”
He smiled and nodded, “Of course, Darlin'. Come here and get comfy, then we'll get you dosed.”
He pulled me down into his lap after he turned to settle in my old place against Jake's ribs. I settled on his lap with my feet near his knees. I rested my nose against his neck, then placed one hand on Jake and the other on Jasper's element. It was instinctual, but I heard both Jake and Jasper let out a small rumble of happiness.
I heard Edward ask about which oil as I started to close my eyes, so I said, “The one for Jasper, please.”
As soon as I felt oil being dripped onto my elements, Jasper sent a blanket of love, peace and lethargy.
My inner goddess was waiting for me as soon as I was centered, with a small smile gracing her lips. I nodded, “Good day, Goddess.”
She responded in kind as I mirrored her position on the floor. “My Goddess, today is an important day. You will be meeting the shaman soon, and all must go according to plan. The shaman will test The Protector. You know this. There will be another near the field with the shaman, but I know they mean no harm. It is part of the test. Your protector must not leave your side for an instant, but he also must not let the other near the field think he's weak. Set it up so that the wolves surround the clearing, that your vampires are interspersed with them. You, your mate, and your protector should be front and center, in the middle. Do not let the other onto the field, but do not let anyone attack him.”
She gave me a serious look, then continued, “Warn the shaman when the other makes himself known, that if the other makes a move toward you or your group, you will give Jake the order in a heartbeat. It will be tense for a few minutes, and this is your protector's test. He must not call the order, and you must not give the signal. The other will not come closer, but will round the perimeter of the small clearing, keeping the same distance. When he reaches his starting point, the shaman will tell him to shift and join you on the clearing. The pack and your group must not automatically let him on the field. They must wait for your signal. You must let your senses guide you as to when he should be let on. Only when you give the signal, should they let him on the field.”
I nodded in understanding, “It's the leader to one of the other shifter packs, isn't it? The shaman is testing to see if Jake is truly synched with me... if he should truly have his protector status at my side.”
My inner goddess nodded seriously, so I asked, “When we get through the testing, will the shaman be able to help us, truly?”
Again, she nodded seriously, causing me to let out a breath in relief. Any help the shaman could give us would be beneficial. “I'll make it clear, plan it out, and tell the group before we head into the field. There's no way in hell he's going to try to put another shifter in Jake's place at my side. Jake and I are in synch. I know he can do this. I know we all can.”
She smiled at me, then said, “Just the thing you needed to hear yourself say, My Goddess. You must believe in yourself, as well as your group, if you are to succeed. You are all tightly knit, so you must trust in that.”
I nodded, then heard her whisper as she faded from my sight, “Blessed be, My Goddess.” I responded in kind, just as she faded to nothing.
The rest of my meditation was quiet. Soon I felt it was time to pull out of my meditation state. I hummed in pleasure as I came back to myself, feeling Edward's magic fingers working on my skin. He chuckled slightly, causing Jasper to whisper into my shoulder, “How are you feeling, Darlin'?”
I nodded, then my breath hitched as I felt Edward's fingers ghost up my elements tenderly. They both kissed my shoulders as I said, “I feel really good, but as soon as we stop and are all together, we have a lot to go over about the meeting. Jake, this is important, so you may have to lay down the law with the pack. I know they'll get protective, but we can't have any of them jumping the gun in that field. I mean it.”
Edward stroked my back as I tensed at the thought of Jake not being at my side, then said softly, “Jake says he feels like something important is going to happen at the meeting... that the shaman is going to piss him off before the important thing happens.”
I nodded, “Yes, he's going to piss all of you off, but you must not make any type of movement without my order... any of you. How long before we get there? I want to tell everyone together what has to happen.”
Char called from the driver seat, “About ten minutes, Sweetness. If you want, you can let Jasper feed first. Peter and I will feed when he's done. You can fill everyone in while we feed, then Ali and I can help you get ready.”
I nodded, then whispered, “Edward, I'm going to shift up a bit so it's easier for Jasper to feed, but will you still continue my massage, please?”
He hummed, kissing my shoulder, “Of course, Sweetheart. Anything for you. You just let me know when you're ready.”
Once I was settled in the new position, I nodded to them both. It was like they synched their movements. Jasper twirled his tongue on my love bite, just as Edward slid his thumbs up either side of my spine along my elements, making me moan loudly in the small space. They both chuckled, but Jasper latched on after another teasing lick. He moaned as he drew, then Edward said, “Huh... well that's definitely interesting. We'll have to see if it continues next time.”
Jasper hummed with a nod, so Edward explained softly in my ear as I ran my fingers through Jasper's hair, “He says you taste sweeter right now. He thinks it might be because of the massage, but isn't sure. It could have something to do with the meeting and levels, but we can't be sure until we try again, Sweetheart.”
I nodded, then he brushed his lips along my shoulder, “You smell sweeter, too. So delectable, Sweetheart.”
He slid his hands back down and around my hips as I hummed in agreement. Edward continued his massage as Jasper fed. We were parked near the clearing not long after.
