Chapter 49: The Best Mama

I did it... I helped them both, and they are so strong now. I not only felt them move, but mentally saw them do it. It was incredible. As the last of the first trimester happened, I watched them, mentally cataloging every detail. I wanted to keep this memory forever. I knew when they made it to the beginning of the second trimester, so I mentally caressed and kissed them both.


I came back to myself then, rubbing my eyes. I've been out for so long, that they didn't want to open. I slowly opened them to look around. I saw the elders, Charlie, Carlisle, Alice, Edward, Jake, and my mates. I could sense more at the doorway, and deduced that it was the wolves. "Hey Darlin'. How are you feeling?"


I looked to Jasper, then pulled him in for a kiss. I pulled Peter up behind me, turning to kiss him, too. I looked at Char above me, patted Jake on the head, then crawled up to Char before kissing her. I noticed Peter hooking the bottom of my top back as I crawled up to Char. I looked at my mates, saying excitedly, "They made it. They are at the beginning of the fourteenth week. They are so very strong and healthy. I could tell which one was Jasper's and which was Peter's from the energy they had. Their energies are so similar to yours. They'll grow at a normal pregnancy rate from here to delivery. I helped them. I was a good Mama."


I had tears in my eyes by the time I was finished, yet all my mates surrounded me. Jasper cooed, "You're the best Mama, Darlin'. No other mother could have done what you just did for our babies. None. You are such a good Mama."


I nodded through my tears as I smiled widely. Carlisle needed to do the physical now, plus I think he wanted to do... an ultrasound? I think I remember hearing something about that towards the end of helping the babies. "Carlisle is that an ultrasound machine?"


He smiled, "If we want to get a look at the babies, we need to do it now, before the physical. I know you must need the facilities by now, but we'll get a better look if your bladder remains full until after the ultrasound."


I nodded, then hurried to lay back on the floor. Carlisle tilted the monitor down as Peter unhooked the bottom of my top again to position it under my breasts. Carlisle made sure all the wolves on duty were in the room, then squeezed a warm gel on my tummy, which was bigger than before I meditated.


Proof of my babies growing well. I smiled at the sight.


He moved the gel around with the ultrasound wand thing, then he hit a button. The sound of the babies' heartbeats filled the room. I heard everyone gasp, including me. Jake was continually licking my hand while staring at the monitor, which now showed two tiny fetuses. I knew what was what, because I helped them form, so I said, "Peter's is the one sucking it's thumb. Jasper's is the one that looks like it's kicking."


Char laughed, "Jasper, he or she's already wanting to kick ass. Way to take after Daddy."


Jasper looked at me with the most loving look, "Thank you for this miracle, Darlin'."


Jasper and Peter both kissed me softly. I saw Carlisle taking measurements, then he said, "Both of them are doing splendidly. Both are around 3 1/2 inches long, and weigh around 1 1/2 ounces. To use Bella's food equation, about the size of a good lemon. Extremely well done, Bella. Jasper is right. No other mother could have done what you just did for your children. They both look very healthy. Would you like to see if we can find out the genders?"


Jasper, Char, and Peter all nodded enthusiastically, but I smiled. I knew what they were, "I already know, since they're producing hormones, but yes. Please look."


Carlisle smiled widely as he tried different positions on my tummy with the wand. He took a few different pictures again, then looked at my mates. "We have one confirmed boy... let's see about the other one."


Everyone cheered as Carlisle moved the wand around again. "We have another boy!" Carlisle said excitedly.


Everyone cheered in excitement while my mates looked at me for confirmation. I smiled, "Yes, two boys."


They both choked a happy sob, then kissed me excitedly. Char smiled lovingly at them then kissed me softly. "We're gonna be so outnumbered now... you know that, right?"


I giggled, "I know. So not what I expected. I figured one of each until I helped them through the stage that they started producing male hormones."


Carlisle laughed while taking a few more pictures. I looked at the monitor to see one was pouting, "Awe, don't pout little guy."


He found his thumb and grabbed onto it, bringing both hands to his tiny mouth. I giggled, then moaned. I really needed to pee. "Carlisle, I'd let you do this all day, but the pregnant goddess needs to pee... badly."


He hurried to take two last pictures, then handed me a small towel to wipe the goo off my belly. I hopped up lightly after Peter rehooked my top, then rushed to the downstairs bathroom, wolves dashing out of my way in the process. The immediate release of tension on my bladder made me sigh, then I heard several people chuckling. I laughed too, "Hey, privacy here... I'm trying to pee."


They laughed harder as I chuckled, "Guess the privacy thing is out with a house full of vampires and wolves."


I finished, washed my hands, then twirled back into the living room. Everyone was smiling at me, so I wondered what was up. Alice said, "The paintings are finished. Everyone decided not to see the final works until you were able to see them, too. I know you wanted to watch me paint them... I had Edward set a camera directly on me while I painted, so it's on video for you. Nothing else in the room was visible, only the corner I was in. I thought you could watch it with your mates... keep it as a memento of this time. Would you like to see the paintings now?"


I hugged her tight to me. "Of course, I would! Thank you for making the video. I'll definitely keep it."


She backed up to one of the screens in the room, while Edward stood next to the other one. They quickly took the screens away, then stood to either side of the most realistic paintings I had ever seen. As I slowly walked forward, mesmerized, I noticed that everyone in the room went down onto a knee, or a belly in the case of the wolves. For being such a large room, it was packed.


The paintings... they were so real, I could swear she was right in front of me and pass a lie detector test. I felt like if I reached out, I would actually touch her... me. "So realistic. Exactly as I saw her... me... in my mind. Exactly... every detail is the same. How... the starburst eyes... how did you get them so real? Usually eyes look flat in paintings. The sparkle and swirl is all there."


I looked to Alice, who would be crying if she could. She worried her hands in front of her, then in a small voice, she asked, "You really think so?"


I nodded, "Oh Ali, don't cry. It's so much more than perfect. I swear I feel like I could touch her... me... they're so real. The paintings are exquisite. The elements... they look real, too. Exactly like they do when I hold my hands out... look."


I backed away to stand next to Edward, facing everyone. I placed my elbows next to my ribs, cupping my hands in front of me. My elements swirled and rotated to match the way they looked in the painting. A diamond pattern... north was earth, south was air, east was water, and west was fire. In the middle formed a starburst ball of all four colors. "See Ali? It's exactly the same. Isn't it, Jazz?"


He came to me, placing his arms around me from behind. "Every detail is exquisite, Alice. A perfect match to the real thing. You did an amazing job. I hope you'll consider doing more paintings for us. I think if everyone agrees, I'd like the living room of each cottage to have a painting. Red for Rose and Emmett, blue for you and Edward, silver for Carlisle and Esme, green for Eleazar and Carmen, and the full goddess for Tanya and Kate. I'd like a painting of the four of us for Sue and Charlie's cottage."


Everyone agreed readily, then Jake whined. Edward responded to Jake, "I'm sure she wouldn't mind, Jake. I'll ask. Ali, Jake would like to know if you could make a smaller goddess in a different medium for the wolf guest house, as well as the four main wolf rooms in the main house. They would like them to be framed charcoal sketches."


Alice smiled widely. "Of course. I love charcoals, and work with them any chance I can. I'd be happy to do them all. The main house set, the cottages, plus the ones for the wolves. I'm so glad you all like the paintings."


I looked to everyone in the room, but they were still down on their knee or belly. "Awe. For Christ's sake, guys. I told you... family doesn't bow. Come on, before you make the pregnant goddess cry."


Everyone laughed and rose just as my stomach growled loudly. "Feed me, Seymour. Feed me all night long," I chuckled.


Emmett laughed, "Such a movie. I think we have that."


I laughed. "I loved 'The Little Shop of Horrors' when I was younger. That part always just stuck with me."


My dad laughed, "Yeah, she went around singing it every time she was hungry on our summer visits. I guess that's why that part stuck, Princess."


I laughed, then called politely, "Esme, can you please get everything set up for me to eat outside while Carlisle does the medical workup?"


She popped her head in the doorway, smiling, "Sure thing, Dear. I have everything Alice mentioned earlier prepared, and was just waiting for you to be ready to eat. I'll give Carlisle a few minutes to get the physical underway, then I'll get everything plattered."


I kissed her cheek, "You're the best, Esme."


She dashed off to the kitchen with a bright smile, so I looked at Carlisle. "Are you all set up, Doc?"


He nodded, "Yes, everything is prepared in my study. I just need to collect the venom from your mates. Do you know how much will be needed?"


I closed my eyes, then said, "They each need to prick their middle finger on their left hand deeply, squeeze from the base of the finger to the tip, then repeat the process once... since the finger will heal by the time they reach the tip the first time."


He nodded, then pulled a sterile cup from the side of the ultrasound table. Carlisle opened the lid to the cup and held it out. Jasper pricked his finger, squeezed the venom out, then repeated the process. Char and Peter both followed before Carlisle replaced the lid. I took it from him, gently swirling the contents as I spoke in Latin. I prayed to the Goddess Mother for her to make the venom strengthen and keep my cervix closed for the final six months of pregnancy. I looked to the elders. "Will you please bless the venom? The lid needs to be touched by each of you as the blessing is said."


They all nodded, so I held the cup out in my hand. They gathered around, placed two fingers each on the lid to the cup, then said a blessing in ancient Quileute. When they were done, they each kissed my forehead before Sue whispered, "Blessed be, Young Goddess."


I kissed her cheek, "Beatus exsisto, Regimen Matris."


Tears instantly fell from her eyes as she kissed my forehead again. I stroked her cheek for a second, then kissed my mates and headed toward the stairs.


I heard Charlie ask, "Suzie? What did she say?"


Sue sniffled, choking a happy sob, so Edward said softly, "She said, 'Blessed be, Guiding Mother.' She was acknowledging Sue as both her guide and mother figure."


I saw Carlisle smile at me as I turned when I reached the bottom step, "I'll give you a few minutes to get set, then I'll be in."


I nodded as I walked up the steps then into Carlisle's study. I looked to the exam table and immediately yelled, "Carlisle Cullen! Doctor or not, I will kick your ass if you expect me to wear this fucking paper gown! You know I hate them. You're my doctor for Christ sake... you've seen everything before, anyway. No fucking way! No. No, no. Not going to happen. This is not a damn hospital, Carlisle! If you feel that uncomfortable, have Jasper or Peter join you."


I heard everyone in the house laugh, then Carlisle popped his head in the door.I turned to him with my hands on my hips, so he said in explanation, "I was thinking of your modesty, Bella. Not me. I have seen everything as your doctor, and will again in a few minutes. If you don't want the gown that's fine, but I'd rather not open the door with you nude if it would offend you."


I looked at him with a laugh, "Carlisle, seriously. I'm in a house with supernatural vampires and wolves. Most likely the wolves have seen me already in a more intimate position than just sitting nude on an exam table, and at least Edward, you, and Alice have seen me nude. You know if Alice has seen, Edward has, too. Plus, I will be feeding my mates until the babies are born, then the babies, then my mates again. With all the practices and training we'll be doing, finding somewhere private to nurse will be impossible. Everyone's bound to get a good look at some point. There's no sense in being modest now."


He laughed, "Very true, Bella. Very true. I'll let you get undressed, then I'll be back in."


I nodded, then he closed the door. I stripped down, folded my clothes, then placed them on his desk. I hopped up onto the table before calling Carlisle back in. He walked in, then about choked on his whispered breath, "Jesus, you're glorious."


I knew I wasn't supposed to hear it, but I said in my own whispered breath, "Thank you. The goddess made my physical form very tempting, I know."


Carlisle shook his head, breathing lowly, "No, my Dear. More than very tempting."


Then in his doctor voice, "Shall we begin?"


I nodded with a smile. I knew Carlisle was totally committed and head over heels with his mate. There was no worry here.


"Do you feel any tenderness?" He asked during my breast exam.


I shook my head, "No, just getting close to a feeding time I think. They feel really full."


He nodded, then asked, "Do you mind me testing how easily they express?"


I shook my head, "That's fine... it might release some of the pressure."


He nodded again, then turned to get a sterile cup. He took the lid off before placing it in my hand, bringing my hand in position to catch what would be expressed. I nodded as he looked at me, so he placed his hands in position on my left breast. He massage both hands toward my nipple, then gently squeezed. Milk expressed easily into the cup.


He positioned the cup for the other breast and repeated the process. It expressed easily, so Carlisle smiled, "Very good. Both express well, and the milk looks thicker. Would you mind my testing this?"


I shook my head, "Not at all. Did you get results yet for the last batch?"


He grinned. "Yes. All good, but I'd like to discuss my findings with all four of you. How do the bite marks feel? Are they tender at all? Do you feel a difference in sensation between the bites at the edge of the areola and the inner areola toward the nipple?"


I thought before saying, "It's hard to explain. There's no pain or tenderness at all, but the bites are more sensitive. When Jasper, Char, and Peter feed, they always lick the bites before they latch on. It's like a trigger for me with them. I know the babies won't do that, and it's a... pleasant... distinguishing feature. Does that make sense?"


He smiled softly, "Yes. Mate love bites are always sensitive. It's instinctive for them to lick a love bite. Your feeling when they do that is natural. I would be worried if the sensation wasn’t pleasant. As long as it doesn't hurt or they aren't tender, you should be fine. Lie back for me. Let's feel your tummy for the babies. I want to get an idea how exactly they're positioned. The 3D ultrasound can sometimes be misleading as far as the position goes."


I settled back on the exam table. Carlisle placed his hands gently at my pelvic bone and navel. He manipulated his hands closer together, stopping one hand first, then the other. He found where the babies were lying, then felt around for a minute. "The placentas are both high, which is good. A low-lying placenta can be dangerous for mother and baby. They seem to be right where the ultrasound showed. Also good. We can have a good idea of what's going on from it. Their heartbeats both seemed very strong, and the blood was flowing well. Let's do the internal portion, then you can get dressed again."


He had me scoot towards the end of the table to put my feet in the stirrups. I relaxed my legs, then I heard him gasp quietly. I knew what he was seeing, so I breathed, "I got a little rough... slammed myself down on them before they could react. There was some damage, so Peter had to heal me. That was why Charlotte thought my claiming of her hurt me. This happened right after that. I cried for over twenty minutes during the healing process as Peter and Jasper cared for me. Char retreated inside herself, so I had to go inside and find her mentally after I was healed. We had to complete our bond mentally when I found her. I know I can't be that rough while I'm human again... and not while I'm pregnant. Do the scars look bad?"


He shook his head, breathing, "No, Dear. I was just surprised to see you had such a deep tear to your perineum, as well as so many small nicks. You must have been quite rough to receive so many venom scars. He did an excellent job of repairing the damage, and was able to minimize the scarring, though. No more, Bella. I mean it. You can't be rough like that while you are pregnant... vampire or not. There are so many things that could go wrong. I know that Jasper is a large man in that respect. If Peter is anywhere near Jasper's length and girth, taking them both at the same time must be done gently."


I breathed, "Peter is about the same length, but a little bit thicker. That's why the tear is so deep."


His eyes went wide for the slightest second, then he breathed, "You've taken them both with them being so large? You must promise to be gentle, Bella... and watch how deep they go. They can not go deep and hard at the same time. It could do damage to your cervix even after the venom treatment. If you feel the need for deep penetration, go extremely gently and slowly. This way they can keep better track of their motion up near your cervix. We'll go over this more with your mates in the room, okay?"


I nodded, then he nodded as well.


I hated the speculum thing used during an internal physical, and he knew it. He said in his doctor voice,"Alright, Bella. Deep breath.... and breathe out slowly. There we go."


This thing was uncomfortable. I knew what had to be done, so I said in a breath, "You need to massage the venom onto my cervix... all of it. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but I didn't think everyone down there needed to know."


He nodded with a soft smile, breathing, "I understand, Dear."


Then in his doctor voice, "This will take a few minutes so that none of the venom is lost. I'll be as gentle as I can. It's good that we're doing this, as your cervix is the slightest bit open, and very soft. The rest of your womb may have caught up to being pregnant, but your cervix isn't there with it yet."


He started the process, I kept my breathing even and deep. After about 5 minutes and several times dipping his gloved fingers into the cup, he told me we were halfway done. I nodded, then took another deep breath as his fingers found my cervix again. Slowly breathing out, I relaxed, so Carlisle breathed, "That's better, the more relaxed you are, the better and easier for me it is to reach. You have quite the internal muscles."


I choked back a giggle. "My mates think so, too," I breathed.


He responded just as softly, "They are very lucky mates, Bella. Very lucky."


I blushed, but I swear I heard the barest moan from him. My ass was starting to hurt, so I shifted the smallest bit, my muscles automatically clenching. His eyes went wide, then I hurried to breath as I blushed, "Sorry, my butt was starting to hurt from laying in this position so long. With all the yoga, goddess transformation, and orgasms, my muscles are just really strong."


He breathed a moan again before barely whispering, "I'd say so. That will be a good thing during your labor. It will make giving birth, as well as recovery, much easier on you and the babies. With a normal person, I shouldn't feel 3/4 of that with the speculum being in. That's quite impressive."


He massaged a bit more venom into my cervix, then said in his doctor voice, "Let's take another look to see how it worked."


He widened the speculum the smallest amount, looked closely, then smiled up at me, "Perfect. I want you to rest today to make sure this takes. You can walk, sit, and lay, but no running, wolf riding, or training for the rest of the day."


He took the speculum out, cleaned it, then discarded the gloves and venom cup. "Go ahead and get dressed while I retrieve your mates. We'll be back in a minute."


I smiled, "Thank you, Carlisle."


He nodded with a soft smile, "Anytime, Bella Dear. Anytime."


He closed the door softly behind him. I wiped up a bit before putting my clothes on. I laid the small towel back on the exam table, then sat in the chair in front of his desk.


Almost as soon as I sat, Carlisle entered the room with Jasper, Char, and Peter. I saw Jake lay down outside the door as it closed. "Everyone else has gone out to gather in the backyard, to give us a little privacy. First off, Peter, you did a very good job healing Bella's wounds. Of course, I saw them from doing her exam, so she told me how they occurred. It would be better for her not to have Peter behind her during her pregnancy. If she feels the need for you both to take her, you should be in front, Peter. The reason, is because she tells me you are slightly thicker but about the same length. This is true?"


Jasper and Peter both nodded, so Carlisle said softly, "It's an amazing feat that she can take you both with length, let alone girth. For her to slam down on you the way she did, it's a wonder there wasn't more damage. No more rough play to that extent. Bella knows what can and cannot be done with the Major while she is pregnant, as I heard her mentioning it to Charlie. You can't be any rougher when she is with any of the three of you. She is quite small.”

With a serious look to my mates, he offered, “This brings me to my next point. Deep penetration is fine, but it must be done gently and slowly, so that you can keep track of how close you come to her cervix. You must not push or thrust against it. Even though it has been strengthened, and the venom has done it's job, many things can go wrong with vampires pushing against her cervix in her pregnant state. Very careful, very slow, and always monitor how close you are to it. If there's only a certain position or two that it's reached in, back off a little in those positions, or avoid them altogether."


They nodded and so did I. “The babies are perfectly healthy, and positioned exactly as the monitor showed. Bella is in top condition. I have no worries about them at all. Now to my discoveries. Bella's breast milk contains 1/3 blood and 2/3 milk, as she said before. The thing is, even without the blood, her milk alone contains more nutrients for a vampire in one feeding session than are in two whole human bodies worth of blood. Given that fact, and how quickly her milk is producing, if she wishes, she could still not only feed you during the time she nurses the babies, but after all the babies without the blood as well. She could let you bite the same area again after all the children are done, let the venom in the bite to heal the pathway, then feed you all quite contentedly with just her milk. That being said, you would each have to feed once a day still to keep milk production going, but it is a discussion for the four of you to have together. The milk expressed during her physical came out quite quickly, and was thicker than the last sample I have. I will be testing for differences, to let you know the results. Any questions?"


I nodded, "How long before we can be intimate?"

He smiled, then looked at all of us seriously. "You can have sex anytime, but remember what I said. For the first 48 hours, I would suggest no double penetration by the two of you or hard thrusting. If anything pinches or hurts, stop immediately and see me. Slow and gentle. Think romance." I nodded.


"I'd like to see Bella back after the 48 hours to see how she is, then we can adjust from there..."


My stomach growled, so Carlisle chuckled lightly, "And right now, I'd like to see the pregnant goddess go out back, relax, and eat lots of food to replenish. Come... let's go visit with everyone. They want to see how you're doing for themselves."


I nodded as I stood up, "I think I could eat two grizzlies right about now."


I heard Emmett yell, "Yeah, let's go, Little Bit!" and I giggled, "Not a vamp yet, Em. Remember?"


Everyone laughed at my banter with Emmett. We made it out back in no time. Our spot under the tree was empty, so Jasper plopped down and made a space between his legs for me. I gently sat and leaned back against him, Char and Peter taking up positions on either side of us. Each of them gently laid a hand on my tummy as they kissed my neck and shoulders.


I hummed as Esme showed up with my platter. It had to be enough to feed everyone here, but I had a feeling nothing would be left by the time I was done. "God, that looks awesome, Esme. Exactly what I wanted. I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to explain before my meditation."


She smiled, "Not a problem, Dear. Alice told me everything, so we were able to make it up in no time. Let me know which ones you prefer, then we'll make sure that some are sent to Sam's and the cabin."


I got a panic feeling when she mentioned going to Sam's. My mates instantly looked at me alarmed. "What is it, Little One?" Peter asked.


I shook my head, confused. "I think we need to talk to the elders. Esme, would you mind asking them to join us over here, please?"


She nodded, then dashed off towards the elders. I breathed, "I don't think I should go to the rez to train while I'm pregnant. Too much distance to cover with no protective field. I panicked when Esme mentioned Sam's, because that's where I eat when we train on the rez field."


They nodded silently just before the elders joined us. They sat in front of me in a semicircle, so I started. "I know an agreement was reached that we would train on both fields equally, but I need to tell you what just happened. Esme mentioned me letting her know which of the caviar I liked best, so she could have some stocked at the cabin and Sam's. As soon as she mentioned Sam's, I panicked. That's where I eat when we train on the rez field. I feel safe there, but I really truly think it's too much of a risk for me to go that far from protection field to protection field. There's no coverage on the way there. What should we do?"


The elders all smiled before Sue said, "We talked of this very thing while you were with your mates in Carlisle's office. All of us, including the wolves, feel comfortable and safe here. We can make the trip here to train you with no problem. We'll come with the first round and leave with the second after dinner. You will be sitting out the second round from now on, giving you and the babies a rest period in the middle of the day. You can use that time to watch the wolves and vampires train if you wish, but you will be resting. No buts. When or if you feel it's safe, we can use the other field at a moment's notice. There will be no repercussion from this turn of events as far as the peace goes. Jake agrees that it's safer for you to remain here, too. The path from the property to the field means you don't have to leave protection at all to train. That's important right now. We don't want anything happening to you or the twins."


I breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you. You'll be getting a card to use for all of the gas and vehicle expenses incurred from the travel. I won't have you spending your money coming out here everyday. I won't take no for an answer, so please don't try. Now that we have that settled, why didn't Dad walk over with you?"


She smiled, "He didn't know if you would want him listening to whatever you had to say."


I huffed, "Dad, stop it, and get your ass over here. I have no secrets from you. Come over and have a seat while I eat this awesome looking food."


I grabbed a cracker, placing a small amount of one of the caviars on it. I popped it in my mouth, then my eyes rolled back in my head it was so good. I looked to see where on the tray it was in sushi form, then grabbed the salmon one with the chopsticks Esme provided. I bit into it and hummed. Delicious. "Oh god, I wish you could taste this... it's awesome. So so good, Jazz."


He looked to see which caviar it was so I pointed to the dish. "This one."


He nodded with a smile. I took a sip of my huge ass smoothie before squealing to Esme, "This is a keeper recipe for the smoothie, Esme. Don't change a thing. So delicious."


She smiled and nodded. I took another few large sips as Dad asked, "Princess, what does that taste like?"


I hummed happily as I handed him my cup, "Taste for yourself, it's so good, Dad."


He took a sip from my straw. His eyes went wide before he grinned like a cheshire cat, "That's so good... so sweet."


I looked over to see Esme watching us, so I asked, "Is there enough to make another batch for Dad, Sue, and the other elders?"


She lit up, then immediately ran into the house with a grin. I took another cracker and a small amount of the different caviar. I popped it in my mouth before moaning loudly. I looked at Jasper, pointing to the one I was eating. He smiled, "I'm monitoring your emotions for each one, Darlin', so keep letting us know which ones. Have you tasted one with tuna?"


I shook my head. "Try. I want to see how you like it."


I nodded as I grabbed the sushi that had the caviar I just tasted with the tuna. I took a good bite, but as soon as the favor hit my tongue, I felt a stir of arousal in me, causing me to whimper softly. It was low, but it was still there. I saw Jasper's eyes get wide. The sushi tasted so good, so I grabbed a tuna with the first caviar.


No arousal, but so so good. Hmm.


I raised an eyebrow at Jasper, so he nodded, "Let's test the other tunas to see."


I took the next one, bit into it, then moaned as the arousal hit. It was a stronger wave, causing my eyes to flutter closed as my head fell back. Quickly, it was gone... replaced with a wave of calm and peace. I smiled at Jasper, who nodded in response. I ate the last few that needed to be tried. One more had the same arousal result.


"Taste one of the other positives with a cracker... I want to test a theory, Darlin'."


I nodded, but Charlie was looking at me funny. I held my finger up as I took a bit of the last caviar that had an arousal effect. No reaction, but it was really good.


I called to Esme as she was bringing the smoothie treats to Charlie and Sue. Jasper said casually as he pushed the caviars with the effect to the front of the platter, "These caviars shouldn't be put with the tuna any longer. They have the same arousal effect that the salmon caviar did before the pregnancy. By themselves, they do not have the same effect. Darlin, does it happen with the salmon?"


I tested two more with the salmon, but had no effect, so I shook my head. "They can be put with the salmon or with crackers, but please don't put them with the tuna. There's an aphrodisiac quality to them when mixed with the tuna."


Esme nodded, then handed Charlie and Sue both their glasses of smoothie as she said, "I'll let the girls know which ones, then have a list written out for the same purposes for the ones going to the cabin."


I smiled, "Thanks Esme. You keep track of so much stuff for me. You're a miracle worker."


She smiled, bending down to kiss my cheek, "I'm no miracle worker, I just have vampire memory, Dear. I enjoy taking some of the pressure off of you... It makes me feel like a true mother again being able to take care of you."


I smiled and kissed her cheek. She dashed back off to the kitchen as Charlie said quietly, "They really have that effect on you?"


I blushed with a nod, "Before we left for Texas, Jasper thought it would be a treat for me to have salmon caviar since I liked salmon so much. He bought some, and let's just say the results were not fit for public. The taste was soo good, that I by the time I had finished eating it, my arousal level was sky-high. It doesn't do that now, but these others do when they're with the tuna. I don't know why, but they do. Certain foods make me feel a certain way. We try not to let me eat anything with an arousal effect when it would be, umm... inconvenient... I guess you could say, to eat them. The last thing I want is to start an orgy in the middle of Esme's back yard."


Esme giggled as she came down the steps, causing Charlie to cough, "Yeah, I can see how you might not want that. I guess it's good to keep track of that with everything else going on. All this is still so new for you, too, isn't it?"


I nodded while smiling softly. "Think about it, Dad. This all started right when you left to go to Seattle. It hasn't been that long, yet all these changes have already happened, with a ton more on the way. My life is going to be one big, crazy rollercoaster until all of the battles are finished. I don't relish the danger that being pregnant during this first battle brings. There are so many things that could go wrong, Dad. I'm scared shitless that I won't be able to protect them during the battle... that a vampire could hit me just the right way, me not see it coming, then I could lose them. I'm scared that my being pregnant could be detrimental to someone else's life by them trying to protect me. I seriously think my goddess portion has a messed up sense of timing, but I will do what she sees fit, when she sees fit to have me do it. There's no other way to go about doing things. She knows what needs to be done to come out victorious, so I have to trust in her to show me the way."


He had tears in his eyes, "Oh, Princess. You're not my little girl anymore. You've grown to such a beautiful, strong woman. I'm so proud to call you my daughter."


He hugged me tightly, so I smiled as I kissed his cheek. "I love you too, Dad. You're the best Dad anyone could ask for."


Charlie sniffled and coughed, trying to hold back his tears. "Enough of this mushy stuff. How are my grandbabies?"


I felt the babies flutter, so I grabbed Charlie's hand, placing it on my stomach. "Say hi to Grandpa, boys."


They fluttered again as Charlie's eyes went wide. I smiled widely, "They're perfect, Dad... we all are. The three of us are extremely healthy, the babies are growing well, and Carlisle said that I would be able to nurse them both with no problems."


Just then, I got the feeling that I needed to nurse. "Will you excuse the four of us for a little while, guys? We need to go inside for a bit."


They nodded, so I stood with my smoothie. Jake met me at the bottom of the steps and licked my hand. "I know, Jake. I feel the same way. Come on... you can guard the door for us, I need to let them feed."


I heard Carlisle stop Jasper for a second and him breathe almost silently, "Do you mind me asking what the taste is like? Curiosity of a doctor and all."


Jasper smiled as he offered, "A million times better than human blood... I could quite easily become addicted... and her emotions help that much more. She feels pleased to be able to provide for us... to provide our nourishment."


Carlisle nodded wide eyed as we went inside. We went back into the living room to get comfortable on the blanket, with Jake just outside the closed door laying down. I sat with pillows behind me against the wall. Peter and Char sat on either side of me, with Jasper at my feet, massaging them.


I unhooked my halter at the neck, then kissed both Char and Peter. I nodded to them, then they both gently licked only the bite mark. I moaned as they latched on gently. I played with their hair as they fed, until Jasper asked, "Sug? What do you think about what Carlisle said... about continuing to feed us during and after the babies?"


I smiled softly, stroking Peter and Char's cheeks, "My body already knows the difference between you feeding and what the babies will feel like nursing. You lick the bites every time you begin and end instinctively, while the babies won't. I have a feeling that if you continue to do that while I nurse the babies, we'll be fine... that it won't take away from what the babies need. You're right... it makes me feel really good to be able to provide nourishment for the three of you. I can't feed you human food, and I like that you're getting what you need from me, not another source. Not a deer or elk, not a human. Me. I'm giving you something to keep you healthy and strong. I think if you really don't mind, I would like to try it. The scheduling might be hard with nursing the babies. I might end up nursing around the clock. I just don't know how it'll work, but I'd like to try if you're all willing.”


Char and Peter both moaned while caressing my breasts, as Jasper whispered, "You'd really try? We can live without it, but it feels intimate for us. The time you spend and the feelings you give off when you feed us, we feel extremely close to you. Our bonds have gotten much stronger in the time we have spent with you this way."


I nodded, "I feel the same way. I like the time we spend like this. I don't get a motherly feeling when you feed from me... it's different. I know I'm caring for my mates. I know I'm being a good mate to the three of you, and I feel closer to you when you feed. It's almost as close as I feel when I make love to each of you."


Peter and Char both caressed my breasts with a moan of agreement. Jasper nodded, "We agree, Darlin'. If you really mean it, we can try. If everything goes well, we can keep going. If you ever feel like stopping, you just have to let us know. We won't hold it against you, I promise."


I nodded, then Peter and Char both unlatched gently before licking the bite marks. I moaned instinctively, causing them to smile. Jasper stood and came toward me, holding his hand out. I took it before he lifted me gently. He sat in my former position, then helped me straddle his lap. He placed both of his hands softly at either side of my neck as he brought me in for a kiss. He shook his wolf head no, then Jasper said, "We kind of already had this conversation while you were tending to the babies, Darlin'. Jake's been close to the cabin for a while now. He doesn't watch, of course, but he feels better when he can be close to you. As long as he doesn't interrupt, he knows he is welcome to stay close."


I smiled up at my mates, then kissed Jake between the ears. "Good, let's go make an excuse. I want some private time with my mates."


Jake barked a laugh as we made our way back outside.
