Tease Me Please Me

Chapter 20:
I stood slowly, then wrapped the towel around my body. Captain helped Stefan stand, kissing him lightly on the lips as he did. I took a moment to register the different feel of the plush bathroom rug under my feet, then the slate tile, and they all watched me step from one to the other, then back again. I giggled, "I feel like I'm acting like a two-year old. This is ridiculous!"
Captain shook his head, "No, Isabella. Don't feel like that. Every newborn vampire needs to do this... re-categorize sensations, sounds, sights and smells. With you doin' it now, though, my know-shit meter is tellin' me you won't have to later. You'll have it all in that amazing brain already durin' your change." I went wide-eyed, "This is how you feel when you first wake as a vampire?" Captain nodded with a small smile, while Major and Stefan both looked at him with gaping jaws, "You're tellin' us she has full vampire senses?" Peter nodded again, so Major said, "Shit, Kitten. God, you're incredible. No newborn vamp would be this calm. We'll have to let the crew know, so that they don't spook you accidentally."
I nodded, knowing it was necessary, then said, "Time to learn the feel of fabrics." I looked at the tags of the mesh boyshort set, then felt it against my palm and my stomach. I repeated the process with the top and capris, then smiled while saying, "It's getting easier... taking less time for the smaller things." They nodded as Stefan toweled off, and I took the opportunity to drink in the sight of the three of them nude. I could see the slightly raised scars on all each of them, but in my opinion, it only enhanced their ruggedly handsome looks. Stefan, sensing my emotions, asked hesitantly, "Umm, Honey Bee?" In response, I shook my head and breathed out, "Fuck, are you three sexy. How did I get so lucky?" Major chuckled, "Kitten... you have vampire sight now, right?" I nodded, "Yeah, and?"
He chuckled again, but I went up to trace a heart on each of their chests where there was no scarring, "This spot on each of you is mine. Mine, and no one else's. Each of you has scars from your past, but that area is mine. To me, your past is part of how you came to be here with me. It was a shitty ocean to have to get across, but you made it to the other side, and eventually to me. Does that make sense?" They all beamed at me, then I said, "Now the whatever-I-am needs to get dressed. I can still probably get colds, and one of those would not be good right now. Major, can you call for Char to bring my tray while I get dressed and Captain does my hair?" He smiled and went to kiss my lips, but stopped short. I giggled with a nod, so he slowly pressed his lips to mine. I savored the sensation as I took it in, then he released me, just to do it again. I smiled, "Mmm, thank you." He smiled widely, "Anytime, Kitten."
He dashed into his closet, so I turned to get dressed. I did it easily, having already accustomed myself to the fabrics. Once I was in my outfit for the day, Captain asked, "Was there a vanity for you in the bedroom suite, Beautiful?" I cocked my head to the side, but the memory of the drawing felt fuzzy. "I... it's fuzzy, like looking through a foggy mirror. I'll have to look at the picture again." Captain said, "It's normal, Isabella. It'll come back to you. The only reason I asked, is 'cuz it'd be nice for you not to hafta stand in here while we take care of your hair and makeup. If you don't have one in the drawin' for the bedroom, we'll get you one made for in between the tub and your closet." I smiled, "I like the idea of it being near my closet."
I felt his fingers run through my hair after he put something that smelled like coconut in his hands. Stefan leaned against the counter to watch. I sighed as a soft smile played at my lips, then Captain asked, "What do you feel like today?" I opened my eyes to look at my hair, noticing that my natural chunky curls looked good today, so I said, "Let's let it dry natural today, and pull from my temples up into a barrette in the back. My curls actually look amazing right now." He smiled, then had Stefan rummage in the accessory drawer to find a barrette. He settled on a really pretty metal/crystal one that looked like a butterfly and small flowers on a ribbon. I breathed, "Oh, wow. I like that. It's really original... so pretty."
Captain beamed, then kissed my shoulder, "Glad you like it, Beautiful. When Major called me after Phoenix and I explained how I already knew you, he told me how long your hair had gotten. To keep myself from heading to Forks when I wasn't workin' on the house, I made you a bunch of different ones." I smiled widely, "Awe, Captain. I really do love it. Thank you." He loosely pulled back my hair and placed the barrette in, leaving a few wisps around my face free. I didn't feel like a bunch of makeup today, so Peter lightly took my hand before waiting for me to catalog the sensation. Once I did, we headed into the bedroom where Char was speaking to Major. Our bed was made, there were 6 glasses of blood on the nightstand, and the chaise had been brought in already. My breakfast tray was sitting on it, smelling divine. I smiled at them, then said, "Good morning, Char. Will you come sit on the edge of the chaise with me for a minute?"
She smiled, and once I cataloged the feel of the leather, I sat down with a foot on the floor and the other tucked underneath me. Char sat at the edge, asking softly, "What can I help with, Sweetie? I hear you're on a sensation overload right now." I nodded, noticing that all three of my mates had started drinking their first glass.
"It seems that whatever my true nature is, decided to give me vampiric senses before my change. I need to re-catalog everything now. Also, the not-so-little light show I put on last night seems to have exhausted me a bit. That's why I wanted to talk to you. With everything happening all at once, those three handsome men of mine are worried that I'll overdo it and stress myself. Surprisingly, I actually agree with them. With that in mind, I wanted to ask if you would take over most of the house and furniture stuff for me. I would still want final approval for things, but you're doing such a wonderful job with it all, that I thought you should be the one to handle it."
She beamed at me, "Oh, Bella. Thank you for trusting me with it. I swear I'll make sure everything's perfect." I smiled, "I'll want to see the fabrics when they come in, as well as go over the shipments and options before they're sent. Make sure that Damon has the brochure over-nighted to Em and Rose. If it takes too long to get there, they may have already left from being fed up."
She nodded, listening intently, so I continued, "The outside chaise... make sure there's an adjustable canopy for it, please. If I draw out there or want to use the laptop, I don't want the sun bothering either." She smiled, "Already on it, Sweetie. Is there a certain outdoor fabric you want me to steer towards for it?" I shrugged, "I want something that's not going to stick out against the scenery. Go with the colors in the stonework for the patio. Nothing too loud. Try to get something that's going to be soft, but be able to hold up to being outside. A lot of outdoor fabrics have a scratchy or sticky feel, and I don't want that." She chuckled, nodding as she said, "I know what you mean. I'll find some soft ones, then send them to Stefan's phone, since he'll be close to you all day. You can choose from them, then I'll get the ones you pick."
I nodded, which was when my stomach chose to growl. She chuckled, then I remembered what was going to happen in a couple of hours. "Char, am I set for today as far as necessities?" She gave me a small smile, offering, "Yes. I didn't know whether you preferred plastic or cardboard, so I got you both. They're under the sink, both in your bathroom in here, and the half bath you use between the main hall and the kitchen." I let out a breath, "You're a life saver. For future reference, Tampax Pearl Plastic." She smiled, "That's what I got you. I figured it would be the most comfortable."
I nodded, then lifted the lid on my tray. I immediately smiled up at Peter and Major, "You two are trying to purposely make me gain weight, aren't you?" Char chuckled, "It wouldn't hurt for you to get a little bit of cushion on those hips, Bella. Remember, you've got three very sexy men that you're gonna be burning a shit-ton of calories with. You'll end up losing a lot of weight if you don't up your calorie intake significantly. If it makes you feel better, we'll get a maintenance routine worked on for you. That'll help keep your stress levels down, too."
I nodded, then said as I eyed my boys, "All you had to do was say something. Char was at least up front about it." They all ducked their heads, so I said, "Next time you want something, ask for it. If there's something you're worried about with me, say so. Don't be sneaky, because I will find out. I should have Char smack the three of you upside the back of the head for that shit, but I have a feeling I wouldn't like watching someone else touching you right now... even on my prompting. Don't do it again, understood?" All three of them nodded, then Char whispered in my ear, "We'll talk about punishments later, Sweetie."
I chuckled with a nod, then dug into my fruit and cream cheese stuffed french toast, bacon, sausage links, fluffy scrambled eggs and coffee. I tried to take a sip of my orange juice, but gagged before it got to my mouth, then ended up throwing the glass away from me. It crashed against the wall, shattered on impact, spraying orange juice everywhere within a three foot radius. My voice didn't sound like my own, instead echoing in the most primal part of me, when it rang out into the room. "NO! No orange juice. No citrus. Fruit is good for us, but never citrus. Get it out of the house, and make sure no one buys more. Nothing citrus on the property at all. It's dangerous to us."
Immediately Stefan was getting the glass and juice cleaned up off the floor and wall. Major was next to me, checking me over to make sure none of the orange juice touched my skin. Captain dashed out of the room, while Char just stood there, looking at me in awe. I looked at Major; my voice was normal again as I spoke, "What. The. Hell? Well, I guess my inner self is aware enough to protect me now. We'll have to keep watch of everything I eat, to make sure I don't have any reactions to things I used to eat before. I think it might be a good idea to start digging for answers, too.”
A small growl ripped up my throat as I said, “I swear to Christ, I'd like to rip Edward's fucking head off his neck right now. I never even drank orange juice until he started practically pouring it down my throat, demanding that it was good for me. Every day, at least twice a day, he was giving me some form of citrus. Fuck! All of this is leading to Alice and Edward knowing exactly what my true nature is from the very start. I can just feel it."
Major looked at me worriedly, so I offered, "I'm alright. I just have to make sure to listen to my instincts from now on. We need a way to find out what Edward and Alice know about my true nature. I don't want Em and Rose putting themselves in danger, though. I also think that if Edward could manipulate my dreams when I was asleep, that he might be able to make others think the way he wants. How Em and Rose are steering clear of it so far, I have no idea."
Char's breathing hitched, then she spoke softly, "Major? You said that Emmett and Rosalie were always closer to you than Edward. Alice always had the non-verbal communication with Edward, he was Carlisle's first companion, and Esme wanted to mother him from the moment she saw him. I think he's playing on the voids in their lives. Emmett and Rosalie... well I don't think he can find one to exploit with them." I smiled widely, "That's it. Em was always carefree and go-with-the-flow. He never let things really get to him. Rose's only weakness would be that she couldn't have a baby, but he has no way to exploit that." Major smiled, then said, "I think you two are onto something..."
My stomach growled, causing Major to nuzzle it with his nose while inhaling my scent. I ran my fingers through his hair, and when he sat back, he whispered, "Eat for us, Kitten. We can continue this conversation when you finish." I nodded, then he said, "I need to go take care of somethin' with the crew for a second, but Stefan and Char will stay with you. I'll be back in just a few minutes. Captain is in the kitchen goin' through the pantry, cupboards, and fridge. If you focus, you can hear him." I nodded once I located him, and Major continued, "He's tossin' anythin' that has citrus in it. Relax, eat, and I'll be right back."
I nodded, then dug back into my food as he went out the french doors to the balcony. Stefan went into the bathroom just before I heard the water running. I looked at Char in question, who mimed scrubbing her hands. I nodded, then a minute later, Stefan came over to me, placing his hand on my cheek. I took in the sensation, smiling, but he asked worriedly, “Are you sure you're alright? None of it got onto you?"
I smiled, "Major already checked me, and none of it got on me or my clothes. Shit, speaking of clothes... Char, I need you to make sure that the laundry and cleaning products don't have citrus of any kind. Anything that does, needs to be replaced with a non-citrus product. All my clothes will need to be rewashed before I can wear them, in case the companies used citrus." She nodded, saying, "As soon as Major gets back, I'll check everything out, then start a running list of what to replace while we're out. We'll get it all sorted for you, Bella. Don't you worry."
Once I had finished the entire tray, Major came back in with a smile, "Would you feel up to goin' to the gatherin' room for a minute? The crew is there, and would like to see that you're alright. I've already warned them about your senses, so they know not to bombard you." I nodded, slipped on my shoes, then said, "Let me brush my teeth real quick, then we can go out." As I made my way to the bathroom, I smelled a slight tinge of bleach in the sink, so I knew Stefan had cleaned it out when he washed his hands. I heard Char say, "Major, I'm gonna go check all the cleaning and laundry supplies like Bella asked, if you don't need me for anything." Major nodded, "No, that's more important right now. Anything I needed done can wait or be given to one of the crew."
She must have left then, and I looked at the ingredients of the toothpaste. When I opened the tube, my instinct was to smile, so I went about brushing my teeth normally. I walked back to the door between the bedroom and bathroom, where Stefan was leaning against the frame talking to Major, then wrapped my arms around him from behind. He hummed as he wove his fingers through mine, saying, "God, that feels good, Cher. Are you ready to go out now?" I nodded, then made my way to his front, asking, "Will you carry me? I know they all have worries about us rejecting you. I want there to be no misunderstanding that we fully want you with us." He smiled widely, "It would be my pleasure, Isabella."
He picked me up, letting me wrap myself around his frame. I nuzzled into his neck as I took in the feeling. I felt Major place his hand on Stefan's back, just above my ankles. We walked out to the gathering room this way. Captain met us at the doorway to our wing, taking his place on Stefan's other side. When we stopped in the gathering room, I kissed his neck, then slid down before turning so my back was against his chest. Stefan wrapped his arms around me, clasping his hands low on my stomach as I held my hands out to Major and Captain.
Once they took them, I looked up to the crew, only to notice that every single face held a smile. I started, "As you can see, there has been a change in our status. We are no longer a triad, as I realized that we were missing an important piece to our unique puzzle. Stefan is now a permanent and equal part of our mating."
I looked up to Stefan, who kissed me lightly on the lips with a smile. I looked back to the crew, then said, "We also have found out slightly more about my true nature. Whatever I am seems to have decided to give me vampire senses before my turning. I am also not to have citrus of any kind near me. There can be no citrus on the property, and that's what Captain was just going through the kitchen for. Char is checking the laundry and cleaning supplies, and I need you all to make sure there is none in anything you use during the staining or painting process for the furniture and rooms. If you come across any citrus trees or plants on the property, notify one of my mates of your finding, so the area can be watched for regrowth, then please make sure it is removed. After which, you will need to scrub down to make sure none of it makes contact with me, whether by direct contact or indirect transfer. None of the orange juice this morning made contact in any way with my skin or mouth, and my inner nature informed us of the necessary change before anything happened. Quite demandingly, too. I am well, as you can see, so please don't worry."
After a breath, I continued, "My mates are sticking close to me, and I'll be taking a few days to rest and relax. You all saw the fireworks last night. They did take a lot out of me, which is one of the main reasons for the R&R for at least today and tomorrow. Any questions relating to the house or furniture, please direct to Char. She is taking over that aspect, but she will be bringing final approvals to me. Micha, I know you were planning to do my breakfast and dessert menu... please make the necessary adjustments. If it hasn't already been done by Captain, take any recipe out of the kitchen that needs citrus. Finally, I know some alcohols have citrus in them. I'm sorry if any of you favor them, but they will not be permitted on the property for the party. Anything non-citrus is still more than welcome. Does anyone have any questions you'd like to ask?"
I saw Coop get a gleam in his eye, so I said, "Out with it, Coop. I see that look in your eyes." He chuckled, "Since Char is taking over the managerial position for now, if we're good until the party, will you sing more than one song?" I laughed, "My new voice is something, isn't it? I will sing the one for sure, since you didn't give Char a hard time. If she tells me at week's end that she had no problems, I'll add another. I'll also add two for the completion of the downstairs rough-in, since the rooms are not built to be able to decorate them yet. That means completely framing out the rooms, electrical in the walls, any plumbing work and drywall. We'll go on like this until the party. I'd like that to happen at the completion of the house, as a thank you for a job well done. No going slow on the house just to get more songs out of me, because the house taking longer to get done will only add more stress to me. I know how fast you got the dining room set done, so don't try to fool me."
Everyone laughed, but Major said, "You heard her. Keep the timeline, don't give Char a hassle, and at the end of each week, Isabella will add another song. She may even add one now and then for the progress made. Send pictures of the completed sets to my phone, so we can keep track of what's happenin'." They all smiled widely, nodding their agreement, and then Damon asked, "With Miss Bella's senses being more acute now, will the construction downstairs be a problem?"
I shook my head, "As long as the cutting for the wood is done in the shop, I don't believe it will bother me. I've noticed that I can almost ignore sounds, unless I'm searching for them or something sounds off. I think the saw running below me might be too much to ignore, though." He nodded, then Nate said softly, "You seem to be extremely calm right now. How are you, truly? Is there anything we can do to make this easier on you?"
I smiled softly as I said, "Thank you, Nate. I've found a good way to retrain myself, so that things don't overwhelm me. You may hear and see me whispering to myself with my eyes closed sometimes. Please do not interrupt that, as the word association of my whispering to the feel of what I'm touching -or in some cases, how I'm being touched- is part of the relearning process. Other than that, I don't want you all walking on eggshells around me. It will have the opposite effect, and stress me out. For now, just approach me at human speed, make some type of noise to let me know you are near, and sometime very soon I will need to relearn all of your scents. Jade, Aaron, and Char... I know Char can hear me... I know I haven't really taken any of yours in. Char found out I don't do well with strange scents, when I woke up freaking out and telling Major to find the intruder. Until I take in the three of your scents, please do not approach me from behind without calling out to me. I don't want to tense up near any of you. You're becoming like family, and I want to be comfortable around all of you."
I felt Major send me a shit-ton of pride and love, then saw everyone in the room beaming at me. I grinned, "Now that we have that out of the way, I know a few of you are leaving out soon. Try to get everything done that you need to without being followed, and stay safe. I know you have protocols to follow if something happens, so I won't say anything to interfere with what you've already been told. Damon, make sure the brochure to Em and Rose is over-nighted. I don't care how much it costs. The longer it takes to get to them the more chance there is that they'll get fed up and leave, or that Edward will find a way to manipulate them. While you are out, try not to think about me, Major, or Peter. Keep your mind on the things you are out to get, and about not being noticed by humans. If Edward happens to be in your vicinity, we don't want him catching on to you all protecting me."
They all nodded, but Major added, "Isabella has a very good point. The less intel you think about while out, the better position we're in. He's a sneaky fucker, so if you happen across him, don't speak to him, and start translatin' borin' shit like books or songs into another language. Better yet, think about sex or wantin' to hunt, because he'll stay out of your head for sure. Anythin' to keep your mind from thinkin' about Isabella. The ones leavin' should get ready to go, and the rest of you can either take a small break, patrol, or work on furniture. You all have your schedule for patrollin', so I won't go over that again."
They all nodded before starting to disperse, then I looked at Major, "Care to watch a movie while I draw?" They smiled as Major said, "Let's watch in the bedroom, Kitten. You'll be more comfortable, with not havin' to be on your pillow pile." I nodded, then Peter said, "Whatta you feel up for watchin?" I smiled, "Action, please." He agreed as Stefan turned me in his arms.
I kissed over his heart, then whispered as I caught his eyes and cupped his cheek, "Tu me prendras dans tes bras pendant le film? J'aime sentir tes bras autour de moi." (Translation: Hold me during the movie? I love feeling your arms around me.”
He kissed my shoulder, then my lips, "Bien sûr, Ma Chérie. Je te tiendrais jusqu'à ce qu'à la fin des temps si tu le souhaites." (Translation: Of course, My Darling. I will hold you until time stops, if you wish.) I sighed happily as I snuggled into his chest, thankful that the men who turned out to be my mates were so loving.
I stood slowly, then wrapped the towel around my body. Captain helped Stefan stand, kissing him lightly on the lips as he did. I took a moment to register the different feel of the plush bathroom rug under my feet, then the slate tile, and they all watched me step from one to the other, then back again.
