Isla de Cascadas Hermosas

A/N:

I know a lot of you have been waiting to see what the cheating bitch (aka Alice) has been up to, so here’s a glimpse into her mindframe. Hope you all enjoy!

Chapter 12:

A POV:

I was trying to fix up this run down hole of a cabin that Jasper had us staying in, even though he said we were suppose to be laying low with the so-called threat of the Volturi. Yeah, they weren’t really a threat to me… they wanted me too much to hurt me.

Jasper had gone out to hunt, I guess, but he’d been gone for several days now. I had to fill my time with something, so fixing up this dingy place was first on the list. I went shopping, which is always fun, then decided new linens and things would be a nice touch.

The problem was, the stupid store clerks CUT my cards in front of me! Their machines must have been faulty, because I know my cards are good. Jasper always makes sure I have plenty of money to use.

I came back to this gloomy cabin to call the credit card companies, but they refused to speak to me… me, Alice Cullen. They refused to even acknowledge I had cards, telling me I was not on the account. I had talked to these companies more than once before, always getting my way, but suddenly I was no one… I wasn’t worth talking to. They told me I had to speak to the account holder, then actually hung up on me.

The nerve of those people! I would have told Jasper to take care of this if he were here, you assholes!

On top of that, I tried calling Carlisle and Emmett, both. Neither would forward me money, or even agree to see me in person. They said it was too dangerous for another visit right now, and could give our positions away to either threat. UGHH!! Now I was without money at all, until Jasper finally decided to show up.

In my frustration, I started prepping to paint the walls. I had chosen a smoky pale blue color, which I was sure would be perfect to brighten up the space. Just as the roller met the wall for the first time, I could feel a vision coming on, the tingles running down my spine before I lost all coherency of my surroundings..

Jasper is somewhere warm. It’s just after sunset, and he’s in a crowded street. He’s laughing. The scene changes to a packed club. Jasper weaves through the bodies writhing on the dance floor until he slides up flush against a female’s back. They’re dancing rather erotically. That can’t be… but it is. He whispers something I can’t understand against the crook of her neck, then she turns around to kiss him. Bella! That bitch!

The vision fades, but another quickly replaces it.

Jasper is now on a boat. The little whore is in his lap. He’s actually fucking her! When the scene morphs again, Jasper is now not only fucking the brunette man-stealer, but Eleazar, too! She’s a human… an ugly one at that… there’s no way he’s actually that into it. He has to be faking! No… not going to happen!

As soon as I saw my surroundings again, my anger took over. Plaster crumbled, beams flew, water shot from broken faucets… it was all part of the red haze of rage.

That bitch, Bella, is ruining everything. If it wasn’t for her, none of this would have ever happened. My brother would still be alive, Jasper would be in his place as the perfect pet/protector, and the money would be flowing freely. I will fuck her life up before she gets her grubby little mitts dug into my pet! My plans will not fail because of some little nobody whore of a human!

Three quarters of the cabin was turned to dust before a single clear thought broke through. “The Volturi… I could call them.”

The little voices that had been buried for so long were eager for this idea. “I could call the Volturi. I’d tell them that a certain brunette they are looking for is currently in Rio, and better yet, still human. No need to tell them of Jasper, because they wouldn’t go, afraid of the ‘God of War’... or of Eleazar, because of their friendship with him. They’d probably just call to ask his side of the story, which would be no help to me. Yes, the Volturi… it’ll work flawlessly, as long as I keep certain facts from their immediate knowledge.”

I dialed the number, then waited to be connected. “Volterra Castle, this is Gianna. How may I direct your call?”

I could feel the devious grin on my face as I answered.

MWPOV:

I quickly filled Eleazar in on the details, “Victoria. Scented near… here on the island. Danger.”

Eleazar nodded stiffly, then kissed Bella quickly before sayin’ to me in all seriousness, “Protect her with your life, Major. I’ll let you know as soon as the threat is dealt with.”

He was out the door in the next second, and I could feel his beast takin’ over.

Isabella was silent for almost a full two minutes before she looked me in the eyes. By then, she had perched herself on an arm of the sofa. I could feel the lust that was creepin’ into her emotions. She had to have known by now that Jasper wasn’t in charge, but her emotions kept cyclin’, ever-changin’, with her desire and lust steadily risin’.

When it started effectin’ me, I had to tamp it down. Now was not the time, no matter how much I wanted to have her spread out for me. Since she had moved to straighten up the room a bit, I smacked her delectable little ass as I sent her some calm, “Not yet, Baby Girl. Focus for me, and I’ll take care of ya as soon as the problem’s been dealt with.”

She ducked her head before respondin’. “I can tell you’re not my Jasper right now, if that’s what you’re thinking about. I’ve heard of the Major… even seen him in Phoenix, as well as at my birthday party. I’ve never had the chance to say it, so… thank you, Major.”

Honestly, I was a bit shocked she noticed, but said anyway, “Right ya are, Baby Girl. Though ya seem to be helpin’ us come together on most things, right now, I’m in charge… and you’re in danger. So there will be no sexy shenanigans from ya until the coast is clear… got me?”

My smirk was fully in place, but I could tell she knew I was serious. She chuckled before noddin’, “Clear as crystal, Major.”

After a second, she relaxed back on the couch, then asked, “Can you explain more to me about this melding between you and Jasper? I may have heard of you, Major, but I don’t understand what you and Jasper would disagree on so much.”

I nodded, took another look out the windows, then turned to look at her. Beautiful.

“Well, Cupcake… it’s like this. We’ve always disagreed over our diet, my love of a good fight, his want to settle down in one place for more than a few months at a time… things like that. See, he never liked feelin’ the emotions of his victims, but I know for a fact that human blood makes us stronger. This is one of the points I can see a compromise between us comin’. Don’t ask me what that’ll end up bein’, ‘cuz I have no clue right yet.”

I could see the wheels turnin’ before she said, “Okay… I can see how that might be a big point of contention for the two of you. Can I ask why you don’t want to settle in one place?”

I sensed her sadness at this point, so I assured her, “My thoughts on that topic have been changin’, Isabella, as of very recently. A certain little brunette and her mate might be a really good reason for me to settle down.”

At her seein’ my smirk, her face lit up, and her emotions overflowed with happiness. So beautiful.

She chuckled, “Yeah, that would be a good reason, huh? Have your emotions and Jasper’s always been separate like your thoughts?”

I hummed, thinkin’ about how to word this, “On certain things, yeah, they have. Back to the blood issue, the only way I can explain is this. When Jasper changed diet on us, he started feelin’ disgusted at the thought of goin’ back to our natural diet. Then there’s the swappin’ back and forth between us… he hates when I come forward, because he feels like he’s lost control. On the other side of the spectrum, you we agree on. Our feelin’s for you and Eleazar are clear and on point. We both care so deeply for the two of ya that there’s no room for debate.”

Again, Isabella’s emotions filled with happiness, as well as a powerful but quick shot of love. My dead heart about started beatin’ at that.

Her voice was soft but sure as she spoke next. “We’re glad you’re here… Eli and I both. We want you here… to stay, I mean.”

I let out a breath, since she didn’t come right out and say anythin’ concrete. “It’s kinda hard to make decisions without knowin’ for sure, though, Baby Girl. I’ve given my all these last few weeks here with the two of ya, and it’s close to decision time… time to cut and run, or know if this is gonna turn into somethin’ lastin’.”

With wide eyes, Isabella was off the couch and to me faster than any human woulda been. Her hands cupped my face as love became the most dominant emotion in her feelins. “I have felt for you since before I saw Major in Phoenix. I felt for you more when you tore someone to shreds because they hurt me. You are one and the same to me, no matter whether you end up merging personalities or not. I care for both parts of who you are as a whole. When Jasper showed up at the statue, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I knew I loved him then… that I had for a while. These last few weeks have been completely amazing, having the three of us together, and I would be heartbroken if you left. We’ve been trying to feel you out, make sure whether or not you wanted the position permanently… but Eli and I wanted to ask you about being our companion. Not mine, Major... Ours. Please don’t answer yet. Wait until Eli comes back, then you can talk to us both together.”

I held her to me for a long while, just soakin’ in the fact that she loved both sides of me enough to want me to stay… that they both did. They were gonna ask me officially, but I was too impatient to wait. It was almost surreal that this was really happenin’. I couldn’t let my emotions get the best of me right now, though, so I gave her a tender kiss before sayin, “I’ll wait to tell ya both my official answer, but just so ya know, I could never get enough of that emotion from either of ya.”

Only moments later, I could hear the faint sounds of a fight happenin’ near the beach. I pulled Isabella back to the couch, motionin’ for her to be quiet before I pointed for her to sit. She did so silently.

I trained my ears toward the commotion outside as I paced the room. After several minutes of hearin’ trees bein’ smashed into, boulders bein’ crushed, and growlin’ from both sides, I finally heard the tell-tale screech of a vampire bein’ ripped apart... then dead silence.

I was instantly on edge, yet hopin’ beyond reason that Eleazar was safe. I let out a long breath as I felt his love and accomplishment, then heard him say loud enough for me to hear, “Major, the coast is clear. Please bring Bella. She’ll want to see this.”

Purple smoke rose up near the beach as I looked out the window, so I smiled at the little brunette who was staring at me worriedly. “Come on, Cupcake. Your mate’s anxious to see ya.”

I picked her up, then after she wrapped herself around me, I cradled her head before dashin’ toward Eleazar. Isabella gasped in my arms as we reached the site of the fight. I rubbed her back in comfort, offerin’, “He’s fine, Sugar… look. He’s right there.”

Though he looked to have shredded his shirt, and was sportin’ two nasty new bite marks, Eleazar smiled widely as he saw us.

I didn’t even set Isabella down before I pulled Eleazar to us. He kissed us both passionately, then touched his forehead to both of ours. “It’s over. She’s purple smoke, except for one last part. My Love, I think it would be good for you to watch this part.”

At that moment, I noticed a flame of red hair on the sand near the bonfire. Attached to it was the silently screamin’ head of Victoria. A well of satisfaction swelled in me so strong, that I shared it with Eleazar. He gave me a small nod, then lifted the head from the sand.

Isabella gasped when her eyes landed on the head Eleazar was now holdin’, her emotions haywire with fear, loathin’, and anger… lots and lots of anger. He immediately looked to calm his stressed mate, “Isabella, I wanted you to see this, to know for sure that she would never, ever be able to hurt you again. Her limbs and torso are already purple smoke, my mate. There’s no need to fear her anymore. Would you like the honors, or shall I?”

It was amazin’ to witness the turnaround in her feelin’s. What was all negative a few seconds ago, quickly turned into determination, relief, and a shit-ton of satisfaction. She squared her shoulders, then stepped forward to her mate’s side. “I want to, if you don’t mind. I want to have a part in her death after everything she put me through.”

Her little hand trembled slightly as it reached down, but she grasped the head by the hair, then tossed it into the fire without the slightest hesitation. When her emotions overflowed with completion and safety seconds later, I shared them with Eleazar, lettin’ him know that the woman we loved would be just fine now.
